From the Istock website:

"In an effort to improve turn-around inspection time, iStock will be temporarily closing uploads on Sept, 15, 5pm Friday - Sept 18, 8am Monday. We appreciate your patience. Sit back, relax, watch the queue drop or even get out there and shoot."

Well that's cool because I have to pack and move anyway this weekednd.  Thought I would take some moving pictures if any present themselves. Do you think the noob 20 photo U/L limit will rise after the queue is cleared?

i can't upload until next weekend anyway so for once, I'm not affected. I hope they get through the Q and resume normal uploading, even for non-exclusives.

Hmmm well I am new here and also new to IStock, they seriously have some issues IMO. I waited nearly a month!!! to have my initial sub looked at and then when they did, I got "One accepted, please submit 2 others for consideration as these 2 didn't pass"...that has gone on now no less than 5 times. I don't know what they are on as the images I submitted I actually sell prints of at 30x40 so quality isn't an issue. They were also accepted at Shutterstock and Fotolia...odd. So Merry-go-Round it be with Istock, and honestly I am about bored with it. I just also sent my CD off to Alamy so we shall see. I don't know what they will acheive with taking 4 days off unless it's for trying to catch up, but the problem is that it will be backlogged all over again....oh well...spose I shall try again one last time before sayin no more to em.

They also have a big announcment planned for Monday and one of the admins hinted it would help out with keeping the que down?  I hear they just hired 7 brand new inspectors that are currently in training too!

With the addtion of these new inspectors, I hope they also consider raising the limit even for non-exclusives.

I'm thinking with the clear out this weekend limits will go back up for sure.  At least to where they were before the recent cut back.  I am excited to see what the big announcment might be!
