Things are going well on my end.

I'm projecting a 20-25% increase in total royalties for 2013. (if PP and GI come in just average for NOV and DEC)

I surpassed total 2012 royalties quite some time ago.

I can't change any of the bs and/or politics at stock. All I can do is shoot, upload, repeat. (although I've taken the month of December off to relax, catch up on reading, enjoy the holidays, etc.)

Hope we all have a great 2014! :D

I wasn't expecting a pick up but the last 3 months were higher than last year.  Dec is already higher than nov.   Way higher than 2012.

Most of my files were moved to the higher collections and I am seeing a big advantage.  The main collection is worthless.   To many new files swamping that collection.  I don't see how the are going to manage that collection properly since new files are not selling and have no way to move up.  If sales continue like 2013  in 2014 I will be very happy.

Are PP sales stats late going out this month for istock or have mine gone from very healthy for the past few months to 0 for November - anyone else still waiting or should I cancel the turkey order just in case?.

Going out later. Getty sales have been reported first this month.
"Partner Program royalties are paid once a month and are paid a month after the sales occur. For example, files sold on the PP sites in January would be reported on iStock towards the end of February and so on for subsequent months. The sales reports usually appear over one or more weekends but there is no set day for royalty pay outs to begin."

Your statement seems to imply that most buyers search by price point. I don't know if that's accurate or not. If it is not, then the "too many new files" are swamping the ENTIRE database, not just the Main collection. If it is true, then eventually most buyers will realize they can buy what they want for practically nothing.

I'm extremely pessimistic for 2014 sales for IS exclusives, and for 2014 income for IS independents, unless there's a major change (yet again) at IS.

I pretty much ignored my exclusive portfolio on istock for a couple of years, but the past 4 months my sales have taken off. Gone up enough that I am shooting and uploading again. Everything that's going into my portfolio is Signature and above. But still no views or downloads on recent uploads. Hoping they tweak the search to expose more of the new stuff for exclusives. Anyway, the last three months have been my best sales and income for a few years!

Kind of stupid they couldn't run the PP sales this weekend so we could cash out our money before the end of the year...

Today's 20th of December and still no PP November sales... makes me worry a bit...
and NeilL also.

I have my Purple GI sales, the IS blue bars as well, no Green PP reported yet.

I'm an audio exclusive and that's the only material that sells on GI. So we can assume someone who's an exclusive in one area and not another will have the same situation.

Income dollars are up this year, but RPD is down. No complaints, they make sales, I make money. Let me classify my view as "Low Expectations" and I don't see anything changing.

Growth has slowed or stopped for most places. Some will be shutting down soon. IS will be around and paying something, probably on a level basis, consistent. Overall, stability is a positive as the market sorts out and Microstock growth in general, goes flat.

It would not surprise me one bit to learn that the delay was intentional so they would not have to make as many payouts at the end of the year.

They've still got eight days to go, and they've paid out Getty for last month.

Eight days to go in December, but Monday the 23rd is the cut-off date for Payment on the 30th through PayPal.  If you needed the November PP amounts to hit your account by the Monday deadline in order to have enough to request payout you're pretty much out of luck if you wanted the money in 2013  The next payouts will be in 2014.

If thats the case, it just shows that Istock is the Scrooge of Christmas.

Dickens refers to Scrooge as "... a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner!

Reassuring words from Kelvin over at the IS-forums:

"The PP payout for November should happen before the end of the month, as usual. If we get any indication that this will not happen, then we will post in the forum to let everyone know."

I'm really curious how something, that is essentially a real-time transaction can take between four and eight weeks to complete - and then still be open to interpretation whether there are indications of failure or not :o

Yeah. Its almost as if the PP reporting is powered like this

My hamster can not manage to stop spinning in his wheel

That also means no pay out for some in December.

Dear IS,

You'd think by now we would shut up about the PP and just accept that it may or may not be paid by month end and if it isn't then you'll let us know something we already know.

Its just that these days I rely on the generosity of your PP buyers to make it worthwhile continuing our sordid relationship.

Perhaps instead of opting out of the PP it could be arranged for me to submit direct to the partner sites and opt out of you?

Merry Christmas
