As you are probably aware, IS allows a buyer to purchase a print of your image (if you have it enabled).

I was wondering how many people have had prints sold.

Also, if you don't mind, it would be helpful if you could provide a link to the image that has had a print sold.

Just a statistical question ... won't the number of prints you've sold be affected by the number of images you have online? I have 678 images with IS and have sold 2 prints.

Here's one of them:

One print sold:

I have 247 files online. The print was 11x14" and I got $2 for it.

The prints generate very little income but it is kind of a free money. Actually I am surprised that iStock bothers with it since it seems like lot more work for them.

I've sold 2.  Still can't figure out why someone would buy a print of a poorly lit paper bag.   ;)

Karin, I thought of you this week when a Vonage ad was on the top my homepage (local Free Press).  They must rotate, it's another one today... They used an image like yours.  The first thing I thought was "I wonder if they bought Karimala's famous brown paper bag!"  LOL.

Too funny!  :-)  I shot a series of them after seeing a designer use one as an overlay...looked very cool.  But a print?  LOL  My other favorite is the recent $50 EL purchase at Fotolia of a paper towel background.  $50 for a paper towel.  Whatever these buyers are smoking, please smoke more!  ;-)

Don't try to figure it out. Just bank the money.   :D

There's no accounting for what people want in this game. That's one of the beauties of it.

Sometimes I think of myself as a sort of 'hunter/gatherer' seeking out images here and there like those people of old used to go through the forest looking for stuff for the pot.
