Still no word from HQ on the missing RC of Jan 2012. I'll just leave this here.

Says it all, really.
Odd how we can't bend a little, but they can do what the h*ck they like.
It has been brought up from time to time on the forums, but nada.
Like the promised spin about the microsoft shenanigans. Doubt they can find that good a spin doctor.

Everyone's still waiting for a lot of things that were promised and never delivered without even so much as an apology or explanation. I'm disgusted with iStock's lack of communication and lack of respect for their contributors. Monthly newsletter? What a joke. Logos? Nada.

My expectations with iStock are to have zero to low expectations going forward. As nice as I'm sure the iStock staff are in person, when it comes to communicating with contributors and customers, their lack of communication and undelivered promises and is pathetic.

Lots of us contributors came to that conclusion almost a year ago. In fact, our expectations were zero, and we bailed.

Now they've dragged iStock's name deep into the mud, flooded the site with a bunch of overpriced Getty dreck, abandoned most of the promised developments of new products/features,  and alienated contributors, I wonder who's Getty going to buy next? Chew 'em up and spit 'em out...

At this point they've left iStock a sad shell of what it once was. There was a thread elsewhere about a number of contributors calling contributor relations - can't ever get through and the voice mailbox is full so they can't leave a message. One person decided to call client relations (i.e. for customers) got through, and the person transferred him to the client relations folks (who are sitting near them and were around).  Veer closed their Calgary office and brought everyone into Seattle HQ; I wonder why Getty has left iStock's office open this long - perhaps there's a lease involved? If I worked there, I think I'd want to know when the lease term was up so I could make my plans :)

^^Agreed. Sadly for iStock contributors, I think Getty is doing what's best for Getty. iStock is just one of many of its collections. At the end of the day they'll do what they think will help their bottom line the most and bring the most cash in for their owners regardless of who gets hurt in the end.

Then seeing that I had only been credited for two of my sales from the two days, I contacted Support, pointing out my real numbers for the two days.
Since then, I've read that it was only a certain time on the two days that were affected, and that may have been the answer; but Support clicked the wrong button and sent me the explanation about how old credits could cost as little as 10c.
But although it was the wrong button, the cookie-cutter answer assured me it was the right amount - "This is an accurate number - the variance is to do with the complexity of some royalty calculations on credit packs, as opposed to nominal dollars." When in fact, that is totally irrelevant to my query.
