Maybe it's just me, but when I upload files, all the keywords are lost along with the data if there's one mistake when clicking proceed? It goes back to everything blank. There were three words that IS though were the same word, so when I clicked SAVE it refused because the same keywords were used twice. BLANK AGAIN!

IPTC data doesn't seem to be being picked up all the time, so I need to enter the caption and description over again.

Also when I include keywords like proper names, it refuses them. How is someone supposed to search for any name that isn't in their database, and trust me, many aren't?

Categories often have no fit so I'm clicking the most general areas that might fit.

The disambiguation makes the files less reliable for searches because the important select or specific data is refused.

It's frustrating.

Sounds extremely frustrating!

I haven't had the problem of IPTC data being stripped though.

What upload method are you using?  I keyword/caption etc. in the IPTC in photoshop, then upload in Firefox using multiple open tabs.

IS doesn't read my IPTC data edited with Exifer and Irfanview.  They are awere of the problem, but they couldn't care less. I have to copy them from other sites.

On occasions I've had this keyword disappearing without a reason.  I never understood why.

Why dont you use i.e. ProStockMaster? You can keyword you pics easily and you can upload your images to several sites with one click!

I'm a bit suspicious of giving a third-party program my passwords.  Besides, Exifer is a freeware that works perfectly for me, I can copy info from other files, etc. And then I use Irfanview when I have to include a keyword (I always use relevance order, not alphabetical order), as with Exifer new keywords are inserted only in the end of the list.  And this works perfectly with every site but IS.

Maybe if I were a mass producer, PSM would be useful, but for uploading 2-3 images per week this is not necessary.

Sure... I've never done that.  ;) Or maybe I do it too often?

I'm happy to find out it's my software, (not me going crazy and it only does that to me) so I don't have to worry about it. I'll just plan on cut and paste when I upload and I'm fine with that. Except when it rejects the duplicate keywords in the disambiguation and wipes out all fields!  >:(

Oh by the way, the files were uploaded with ProStock Master, but not keyworded using PSM. Testing out the free demo version which is impressive.

Here's what I have now.

My upload bin was full, I clicked manage uploads, IS took me to a page with pending uploads that needed editing, (not the ones that I completed the edit and are waiting, which is "pending") and I could see that I had two duplicate files. Now I have seven waiting and a batch kind of invisible uploads. As soon as I deleted the extra one, I can't get to my new uploads anymore. There are four files there that need editing.

I tried my portfolio, tried reload, looked for everything I could and the files are counting as uploads, but I can't get to them. If I upload one more file, I'll be able to see that page again.

What am I doing wrong? Or better yet, how do I get to the files that need to be edited before they go into the cue?

Meanwhile the file I did edit, added metadata and keywords, doesn't show in My Uploads. The newest four uploads are in some sort of limbo? If I could get to them to delete, I'd re-upload them, or activate them. The reason for duplicates is I uploaded the same files on the 17th and they went into that same "island of lost files"  ;D They are there, they count, but I can't find them to edit.

Almost the same for me , sometimes it reads the data sometimes not , no matter what I use for keywording , (most commonly Bridge) , and the description field is what I find most problematic for me.
I tried uploading with DeepMeta but it usually stops in the middle of process , or I end up with double uploads.

Usually I only upload images , and then I do the rest of the process when I find time , or when I feel like I have the nerves to deal with that beast.

I dont know if Im kicking myself from behind , cause I dont know how that search works , but I was wondering if maybe it remembers first upload date , and then after few weeks when I process the image and send it to pending ,  when it gets approved , it gets buried cause it has no views from the date it was uploaded , or is it only the approval date that matters ?

I dont know but my new stuff doesn't almost sell at all.
