It’s been said that he who is self-taught has a fool for a teacher. Okay, no one really says that; not even me. But I am a mostly self-taught photographer based in California’s Silicon Valley, a software guy who found his creative outlet behind (and on rare occasion in front of) a camera. I shoot what makes me happy: scenics, architecture, food, anything that will sit still long enough for me to capture it. In recent years that’s mostly been models, both in studio and on location. My goal is to capture personality, to tease out something special that no one else has seen. Sometimes I succeed, but I’ve learned to enjoy the journey just as much as the destination.
