well i was happy to see that my images were reviewed on lucky oliver, but was diaspointed by the lack of information i got.  I had submitted a whole pile (several hundred) and the response I got was

Quote
Tyler-

More great shots! We received your latest bunch and the ones we've approved so far are now in your portfolio.

Thanks!

I am curious how many they rejected.  Was it 1 or 300 of them.Huh  I submitted in a bunch of different batches, so i don't know if they looked at the first 300, or the first 1000 or what.... Sad

Yeah, I got the same note and posted in another thread. Also posted on their blog after the remark they left about the best reviews in the business.  All I know is that some (although not many) of mine were reviewed and (I assume) some of the reviewed ones were approved. Of course, without sales, it's a moot point.

Exactly!

And with regards to what was accepted, what not, why, etc., I think they just wanted to get caught up.  I think all of mine were accepted - eventually.  No need to worry about rejections, I'm sure.

Anybody getting images reviewed? I've got files over 3 weeks old waiting. Doesn't look like they're catching up.

It would be nice for each picture to have a reference.  About 2 weeks ago I noticed that I had 8 pictures missing, emailed them the references from the accepted list which didn't show up in the portfolio (nor the keyword search), and fortunately they were very quick to put them back online and apologetic for the mistake.  Very nice and friendly administration team, that's for sure.

But sure I wish that there would be an individual photo reference, for both the acceptance batch and the online photo ID.  I like the convenience of keeping track, it frees up my mind.

My last batch still in queue at LO is from Sept 22.  Except for ScanStock, all the other sites have already processed it.

What concerns me the most is the lack of views (it has been 917 views for more than 10 days), with the frozen $0.30 'piggy bank' as a result.  I know that the marketing has not started yet, but I wonder...

Since the team is young and very friendly and have a desire to enjoy life (and it shows in their personal participation on the site!), I really wish them the best.  But of course to wish them the best is to wish us the best, isn't it?

Bottom line:  I don't mind waiting a few more days if I see this little piggy go to the market and start to unfreeze  Smiley

Same here, I've got images that have been waiting for weeks.  Sales haven't moved since early Sept. either.

Same question as last week. I upload daily, but it's been over a week since I got the last review. Still 3 weeks behind.

Hmmmmmm . . . I don't remember the dates, but my reviews are only about a week behind.  Maybe I should start keeping a log with dates for uploads to all the different sites.  But it doesn't really matter how fast or slow they review photos if there aren't any sales.  Roll Eyes

As Berryspun stated, I've noticed the views numbers have simply stopped moving.  How can anyone sell anything if no one is viewing?  Views are at 2534 right now and have stayed there for almost a week now.  Makes me wonder why they suddenly came to a screeching halt.

There was a note in their blog I think on Sept. 29 saying that they have fixed the problem of the google and other search engine spyders counting as image views or something of that nature.  I have had 1 view since that date.  Even on other sites that I'm not getting sales, I'm at least getting views so I know there is potential for sales.  No hope at LO with no views. Sad

They are hiring reviewers and should be getting better soon. The sales are picking up for me there.

...definitely picking up, with a few views at my portfolio, they have doubled for me, from 1 to 2  Wink

They also hired a person for the business development:

So with more exposures and a team who wants to be here for the long run and which seems to have a strong positive leadership, the site is on a good track.

yeah, that they have HAVE people on staff seems like a bit more of a serious venture... more than a one man show at least.

My whole batch finally got reviewed yesterday. Hope they are catching up. I got the more useful email from Jill like I used to stating what had not been accepted and why.  Still only a couple of blog sales for me.

I'm still hanging,  this week I hit a month with stuff waiting for review. I only have 74 in the box, not like it's a few hundred...wish they'd get going, pull 'em out and look at 'em.    I'd like to put up more, but...  I'm getting tired of looking at the piggy bank with the number 1  in it.  And I know that's not because I'm "Number 1"  with the pig.  lol   Can't sell 'em if the people can't see 'em!

I'm getting the impression from you folks that the only way you knew what was accepted was to go in and look?

After the last batch, I got an email telling me what was rejected. Nothing happened since then. No sales either. I think they are assuming we have more patience than we do. I've given up on other sites in less time than I have given them.

Speaking of strange search engines. I went to LOs 'big top'. Found there list of top search words. Ocean was number one. I click on that and it brings up 1 of 50 'of a very large number'. None of the 50 had anything to do with the ocean, and none of the ones I clicked on had ocean in their list of keywords.

Could this be why there are no sales?

On the other hand, the boy got game. Just wish he'd crank it up.

The biggest problem I see is that the site will miss the big Christmas season.

I'm not sure if they can survive a year until the next big season...

Well I spoke a day too soon. I got my last batched finally reviewed by LO and I was humbled. Popped my inflated bubble!  Roughly a little less than a third were rejected. Interestingly, I got a detailed comment on each one, many 'personalized' by mentioning the subject in the shot and what was considered wrong with it. I can't say that I agreed with all the comments, but, if the  Bryan that sent the mail as the reviewer, is the same Bryan above, I understand where his artistic eye would see the images in the manner that he did. None-the-less, some were good sellers for me elsewhere. Oh well, what's that old saying,  "The boss isn't always right, but he's always the boss".  It's their site and their call what they want on it.
I think I'll keep loading for a while longer and see what develops. In this last batch were pix that do well for me... let's see if they do anything here. I'm a small portfolio compared to you vets and I need to spend more time uploading, building my base.

I'm still waiting for mine to be reviewed.  After very quick reviews in just a matter of days, now it's going on a month.  I keep uploading more - a few at a time - and now I have over 100 sitting there.  I'm very disappointed in what I've seen in the past month.  I have 3 sales and my views haven't changed in ages.  Absolutely no activitiy.  I'll leave my images there a bit longer and see what happens.  But I probably won't be uploading anymore any time soon.

Just had my current batch reviewed. Images from a little over 2 weeks through this morning. Not too many rejections and detailed reasons that I couldn't argue with. New bouncer with a good eye.

I reported this bug to them some time ago - i guess it hasn't been fixed. It isn't bad keywording, it is just a problem with the stats page - it was generated with a bad links. If you click on each one of the keywords on that page, you'll get the same results, and actually the result is the entire collection of photos! If you put "ocean" in the search box and do the search, you'll see you get much better results.

Okay, just had one day turnaround on reviews. Not sure if they're caught up or I got lucky.
