It is really depressing anymore to read thru the MSG Forum.  It seems I'm in the middle of a financial bonanza and it is embarrassing to post anything uplifting.  Sorry!  With my first raise at SS, sales taking off at DT and frequent payouts at Cutcaster, I just had to offer a smiley face.

Warren

I also think things are going pretty well, but I'm really missing something with Cutcaster. I have had maybe 750 images online for several months and nothing - zip! Is there anything special you do to your files when you upload them to Cutcaster? Perhaps I am missing an important step (at least I hope so)

Good for you warren!  Sales are starting to trickle in for me as well. The other drama is fascinating to watch, but so glad it doesn't effect me at all.

Happy Tuesday! Grin

Nothing special, Steve.  Most of my sales come from scanned vintage motocross.  I sell this stuff exclusively at Cutcaster.
A few microstock-type images are starting to sell but, mostly, sales are the old motocross stuff.

Congrats Warren!  Nice to read something positive.

Between the meltdown of Istock, the Japanese earthquake, and being married to a teacher in a state where their benefits and salaries are being drastically cut, I feel like everywhere I turn there is bad news on a personal, national, and international level.

Guess I should turn off the TV, radio, computer, and go hibernate with a good novel.  Smiley

I'm vacationing in North Carolina (Outer Banks).  No time for being depressed.   Grin

Oh... and it gets better.  My daughter and grandson are on the way down from Maryland.  Fun! Fun! Fun!

 Grin

PS: vacationing just means I'm not at home ... resting.  LOL

Vacation = back in the olden days, vacation time was a perk from working for the man.  I think they still have something like that in Europe?   Huh Grin

And, I guess the BAD news about retirement, is that you no longer accrue vacation time.   Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

Right, we don't get tagged as hippies or communists for doing that. So we just do it Wink

Just to be serious for a moment, we can do it, because we're not in debt the moment we are born. I don't ever hear someone say I have to work double shifts to pay mortgage etc. From my perspective, you yanks work all your life, to finally own something (not having to pay for mortgages etc) and than you're so old that you just day. I guess the difference is, you live so you can work and we work so we can live Wink . I guess we're just not so materialistic, so consumer oriented (although more and more people are, sadly). As IS said, money is not everything Cheesy

Funny!

I thought this was the positive thread on msg, but there now seems to be 2. I may have to start looking for another forum if things continue like this. Smiley
