The comments and ratings don't really mean a thing - most of my sales were on images that had ratings of 50 or less.  I used to sell 1 or 2 per month there, but lately it seems like sales are dying down.  Given, I have over 3000 images.  Sales that slow are pretty pathetic.  I hope things pick up someday.  Daddy needs some new shoes.

3000 images with only 1 or 2 sales per month?
And that was when it was 'good'?
I don't get it, why are you people bothering with this place?

The commission is 12.5 euros a sale and they are a relatively new site.  It is a bit like having an EL on some of the other sites.  I have made more there than most of the newer sites and they are only selling one size at the moment.  Hopefully when they bring in other sizes there will be more sales.  Uploading there is easy and I do it in the background while I am doing other work, so it takes very little time.

Unlike most new sites, they are trying something completely different.  Some buyers might like the fact that there are no reviews and they can decide if the image is good enough for what they want.  Their collection is going to be different to the other sites that all have the same images from non-exclusive contributors.

Agree 100%. I cooled down a bit about their system. You managed to get a score of almost 1000, so you must be pretty active there. Love your Cornwall landscapes! (look at my comments).
I keep uploading all I have, since it's just another socket in Filezilla, and three clicks on the site from FTP to publish. Not even MRF attach. For now I treat it as fun and as a log of what I uploaded in general.
There are some fantastic photographers there, and the quality is surprisingly high in general.

Had 3 or 4 about 6 mounts ago and dead ever since. It is a pity - it was promising for a bit.

Wow, 12.5 euros a sale? That's a far cry from 25 cents.

Maybe I misjudged MP. I couldn't stand the comments (very amateurish),
but if you get 12.5 euro it sure beats * up to SS. Think I'll have a second look at MP.  Cool

I totally agree about the average sale price, but the average sale price of 0 sales is still $0.  As you can see from the Compete.com site, MP gets very few visitors and it appears their traffic is falling to absurdly low levels.

If it wasn't for the ridiculous comment system, I would have kept my portfolio there to "wait and see."  Any search engine that rewards contributors for logging in and out of the system is so out of whack, it isn't even worth considering.

I don't trust traffic stats.  There are still sales there, I get one every now and then and I have seen a few referral sales.

4 sales in a year...very low but upload is very fast and commission much better than Crestock  Roll Eyes.

1 x april
1 x may
1 x june
5 x july
0 x aug
2 x sep
1 x oct

nothing since...
so similar to the stats...

I had hoped they would promote themselves as somewhere for more artistic etc images, but I think I knew when the comment came about offering free blog sizes that it was going to be just another one not putting / having the money to invest in promotion (would love here that I was wrong as I quite liked the site).

The problem with traffic stats is they don't show the number of buyers, how much their buying budget is and how much they are spending on the site.  Those stats would interest me Smiley

hey DanP68, long time no see. But what a good point for a re-entry!
Yes, I agree. MostPhotos do have some good photographers, but the reward system for the one who loiters around the site is the most ridiculous thing ever.
I think the idea is to get clicks rather than sales for the contributors.
Get rid of that comment system and logging in reward. It's laughable.

I uploaded about 50 images months ago, then gave up. I just looked and saw that I've had a sale last month. I might start uploading again; even occasional sales at 12.5 Euros are worthwhile.

Everytime someone here says he sold something, I check my account. Nothing yet for me.   Cry

Adelaide

It's weird how people have success at one agency but not another.  For instance you often write that you do well with Featurepics.  I've made $9 there total over a year's time.  That's what I make on a good day at Shutterstock.

I just had my first sale on MP, and it's a picture I uploaded only a few days ago. It's been an interesting week, with my first sale on CutCaster and MostPhotos Smiley

A little warning to all photographers joining MostPhotos!
Just a couple of days ago I made the decision of cancelling my account as a contributor to MP, after been there a month or so and having over 80 photos, half of them top rated, I started to realized that the site is a joke, half of the contributors there have very little idea of what digital photography is, don't take me wrong, they have a group of great and very talented photographers, but for the most of them, all they upload are images that no other site would even looked at, they look very pretty as a thumbnail, but ones you get closer, the amount of noise, out of focus, and artifact is incredible...and this are the same people judging and rating everyone else's work...(like a blind man giving an oppinion on your image)...I'm not trying to discourage anyone to upload there, just that the 25 euros bait is not worth the trouble...Once a buyer gets close enough to some of the pictures there, I can guaranteed you, he/she will never be coming back, or search any further for great quality work  on that site...Oh! and lets not leave out the attitudes and rudeness of some of the less talented members...but hey, guys and girl, you be your own judge on MostPhotos.com...you've been worn.

Best regards all...and keep on shooting.

LOL.  Welcome back to MP. What changed your mind?

LOL.  Welcome back to MP. What changed your mind?
- It's a great site as backup for all your shots.
- It's nice to browse around in the image set of great photographers, as those aren't filtered by the LCV filter of microstock. In general, there are great photos on MP, though not all is stockworthy.

Thanks, you have a good memory Magnum...LOL
I read Micke (I think that's the way to spell his name) post, and some of the changes being made at MP, so after taking a look around the site I decided to go at it again...good to be back.  Grin

PS: Men you're fast, I just joined back yesterday.
