Maybe this has been discussed already and I missed it, bit I just logged into FAA for the first time in months to print out a summary for taxes, and there was a blurb about options to sell images RF and RM on pixels.com. It looks like we can set prices and keep 77% of the sales, which sounds great as long as there are sales.
Has anybody tried this? Is it generating any sales? I assume if we have more than 25 images we will have to pay or is this separate from the print sales there? If anybody has any experience and would like to share please let me know (or direct me to previous threads if this has been discussed already - I looked but couldn't find anything). Thanks.

One year (and first at the same time), 300 images, 0 (zero) sales. I payed for account 30$ at the begining, not renew it as I don't see sense throwing my money away.

What type of images did you sell? Landscapes?
And did you sell licenses or prints?

I am not selling any licences on FAA because its a mess and they have no buyers

OK. But the TO was actually asking if anybody had experiences selling licenses... ;)

I pay $30 a year for FAA (started in Jan 2013) and make enough to make it worth my time. I did set up licensing via pixels.com for everything except my editorial images and have had one sale. I didn't expect there to be much licensing there - why would that appeal to more than a handful of image licensors? - but wanted to see how things played out.
If you have things you think might sell as prints, I'd give FAA a try, but don't do it for pixels.com

I've made more than my payment on prints etc., (nothing since 26th Dec, though), but nothing on licences (all mine are RM).
IIRC, Jo-Ann had a file licensed, (added: ha! beat me to it) but I don't remember seeing any other reported on msg.
The big thing about FAA/pixels is that you basically have to do your own marketing. Any sales I get are down to luck.

So the consensus seems to be that it isn't worth spending any time worrying about pixels.com - it sounds good but there are no buyers, correct? I've been on FAA for a couple of years with a very small PF - haven't paid anything and have made a little but not enough to get me to pay. If I made what Ron is making I would think differently, though - good job on that.

Selling enough prints to make the $30 worthwhile each year since I started there in December 2010, but no experience with licensing - like others I felt the terms weren't set up correctly. I sell prints - framed, metal, acrylic - some cards, and most recently a bunch of pillows and even an iPhone case, but sales last year were less than in 2013. I do a lot of marketing via twitter and g+ and assume that may drive traffic there or it may be just luck. I usually make back enough to pay for several years with my first sale, though this year it took a card, an iPhone case, and a couple of pillows.
Like the micros, there are just so many images so it's harder to get seen, but one print sale will often earn me more than I make on SS in a month - sometimes several times more, so I'm sticking with them for now, but not for licensing.
