Just happened upon this while browsing Flickr http://flickr.com/groups/houserstockphoto/
Looks like a new up and coming company and so far I really liek what they are saying.

"So that's when I came up with the idea for Houser Stock Photo - your photos, your prices, your customers. Oh yeah... one more important feature - YOUR money. Rather than pay you pennies on the dollar for each photo sold, you keep up to 80% of the price, which once again... YOU set. And if you're not just interested in selling stock photography, but also prints? I've got that covered too, with direct shipping to the buyer. Want to throw a mat around the print? Yep - you've guessed it. I've got that covered too."

It looks like another Featurepics to me.  I'll stick with what I have for now.

It sounds a lot like starvedartists.com...they basically provide you with a place to show your work, and they handle the money transaction...you do everything else, like set the price, sell prints or stock, and you are responsible for sending prints directly.  Pretty much they set you up with a store front, and handle money (for a percentage).

Starved Artist's looks like a nice idea but I don't like the fact that they charge you to join...I already sell my prints through deviantARt and actually do really well over there with it. Makes me wonder though how many other sites are out there like this...I also have been thinking about joining Lulu.com http://www.lulu.com/  and publishing a book on there and a calendar to see how that goes. Anyways, if you know of any more sites like starvedartists.com holler at me Smiley

I'm wondering how many MS sites the market can handle before the failures, mergers, take-overs start which result in the biggest five MS sites surviving.  It's going to come down to quality of photos for the buyers and ease of use for the contributors.  I'm finding five sites too much work for the pennies and am going to whittle down to a smaller amount soon.

U/L, Keywording, Categorizing, etc is a PITA!

That's an interesting site - i'll have to dig more

I'm trying to do my own calendar as well - http://web.mac.com/maunger/iWeb/SanibelCalendar/Welcome.html
Sales aren't going so well right now Sad

I'm buying from printpelican.com  and the more you can buy the lower the price per unit... we'll see how it goes.
