I'm a little unhappy about the various sizes instead of just the vector sales. It would at least be nice to be able to set the prices on those as well. I woke up this morning to a $1.56 royalty on a small size which is much lower than the usual $7.8. I'm just not sure why everyone has to compete so viciously on price and undercut the large sizes.  Sad

Yeah, it seems like a one man crusade that I'm fighting and losing by myself. I guess I could go talk to vector exclusives at iStock for moral support. They know what I'm talking about, but they have their own problems. Grin

I agree with you, you are an intelligent businessman thats for sure but my point is that getting 1.56$ from a 1.4MP picture doesnt look any bad, actually I would love to sell this way many times a day

It was cool to log in and see my monthly sales chart.  It was an eye-opener to see how my sales have grown there since joining in early 2010.  I've been steadily uploading without much thought -- the upload process is the easiest around -- and log my regular sales each day of one or two downloads, without ever really thinking about how it's been adding up.  It's become a pretty reliable contributor to my bottom line... still a small player, to be sure, but one that's on a nice rise.

Now, I could retreat from these warm feelings if my pics all get downloaded at the smaller, cheaper sizes and my monthly take from GL plunges despite the same number or more downloads each month.

The new site is awesome, and the dashboard is great. Much better than the old text-only list of monthly sales totals. This gives a lot more insight into what's selling and how stats look over time.

The new site looks good, unfortunately my stats graph looks a bit like a bell curve rather than the uphill ramp or hockey stick I'd like to see.

Looking good.

Only things that bugs me a little is that the $20 price is no longer available, meaning my biggest vectors are now 'downgraded' to $15. But with these 52%(?) commissions, I can live with that. I hope the image sales will spark some more life in GL; after all, I rather have 4 medium jpg sales than 1 vector sale.

And I'm missing search filters! Customers should be able to sort by Number of downloads, File Age or Price.

Your not alone. I delay my uploads to sub sites by about 90 days (including SS) so that the higher paying sites get a head start with the SEO. That probably cost me some money but I still feel like I need to support the higher paying sites first. 52% is about as good as it gets.

I'll hold off judgement until I see what actually happens. I expect my $ per download to drop but hopefully the total sales will increase. Even with a drop GL's $ per download will still be in the top two.

I really like this site. The customer service for me has been great and the sales are there.

Nice to see some positive things happening. Maybe these types of sites will be the future?Huh?

Nice changes for contributors.  I hope buyers think the same.  It would be great to see GL moving up the earnings poll.

Shouldn't GL Stock Images get its own subforum?

New site is great, however the image watermark still reads Graphic Leftovers - surely that should be updated if they are trying to move away from that name!?

looks pretty but it remains to be seen if they can do anything about the miserable sales  - i've only been uploading to photodune & superhug, but hy've each already outperformed GL 's rsults for the last 7 months

I don't know about the intelligent part. I think it's mostly trial and error.  Grin I do agree though. Even with the lower priced small files, it's still better royalties than a lot of sites.

Off topic:

Hey Leaf, can we get these two threads merged?

This is one of the agencies where I plan to keep uploading in 2012 but somehow they are making it very difficult Wink
