you guys need to start answering emails too :-\

or are we going for only top contributors?

That's exactly what I was wondering.  I hate to go through all the uploading work to have SF level sales. And the sub thing, unfortunately, is a proven model that even the likes of Pocketstock can't, in some form, pass on.

Not just Top Contributors ... I got an email from therm.   :-[

and ?  ;D

And they love me.   ;D

Don't you just sign up as a contributor? I didn't see any pre-qualification process.

he is jokking :D

Well, SH_T if they love him maybe they will at least like me a little. :P

Hmmmm... maybe I spoke out of turn.  I just assumed it was a mass mailing.  I trashed it.   :-\

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry we haven't been on the forum recently but I want to assure you that we do answer all emails although there can on occasion be a delay as we're super busy gearing up for our launch. We're also upgrading our servers earlier than planned due to the high volume of content being submitted and we're in the middle of opening up our New York office.

If you have any questions about submitting content then Tavis will definitely get back to you in due course but in the meantime, if you have any more general questions, you can always email me directly: marianne@pocketstock.com [nofollow].

I uploaded a small batch of images to see what their system is like and so far I am not impressed.  They accepted a few images and made them directly live, but almost all of the rest where put in a bracket to get property releases.  They are waiting property releases for things like a chess piece, row of chairs, a bed, etc....but things like a boat are fine.  Not sure what this is all about, but it looks like it might be a hassle if I had to create all these releases for non-buildings.  Oh, out of my 20 images they accepted 9, rejected 4 and the rest are in property release purgatory.

You're right - new sites haven't been very successful but with innovation and experience we believe we can do well. In time of course. Nothing happens overnight!

Sorry, what's innovative about image prices cheaper then elsewhere, as well as the same content as everyone else?
"You can guarantee that at Pocketstock we will give you the best price for any image or illustration."

By the way, what's your guarantee, since your XS appears to be 2 credits, while at IS you can get an XS for 1?  And your per credit goes from $1.38 to $1.54, which tends to be more than XS (and definitely more than SS) for example?

Also, it doesn't seem particularly innovative to not list royalty rates for new contributors on your main page: http://www.pocketstock.com/become-a-contributor You have to dig a bit to find it: http://www.pocketstock.com/textual/royalties

I don't see anything innovative on your search or the advanced search.  No search by color, or copyspace, etc.  Also, it isn't intuitive - I tried to search on apple, and then only "no people" and couldn't get it to load correctly, or at all.

So, what's your selling point to contributors?

What is the current timeline for reviews? The email says, "editing time is currently around 5 working days." but that is clearly not the case. I'm at 2 weeks at this point. I'd like to understand the acceptance process, etc., before I spend much more time on it.

It's  took  longer  than  5  days  for  my  last  batch  also.  With  nothing  better  to  do  i  can  wait.  I'll  concentrate  on  my  other  sites  and  before  i  know  it  they"ll  be  reviewed.

For me I uploaded my 20 test batch and it took about 3 days for them to get in the pending box to submit them.  After that it took about 3 to 4 weeks before they approved some of the images and kicked about half back for property releases.  I think its taking a long time sense they might be getting a lot of new people joining with large portfolio's.

Reviving old thread, as it seems they are tinkering with prices hugely

This is from one of my files...

 X Small 484x311 px $ 2.00

Small 884x567 px $ 4.00

Medium 1767x1133 px $ 8.00

Large 2793x1791 px $ 11.00

X Large 4031x2584 px $ 14.00

Werent these WAY higher when we all signed up? Not sure many will be happy with that, so many will only join sites that are priced higher than where they already are submitting to.

Then again, with zero sales, who really cares...

^^ Totally the risk of joining new MS sites.  I think that has happened to some degree on most MS sites.  Now, someone like Kozzi, they are coming in dirt cheap and maybe they will get a pool of nice images and raise their prices to where everyone else is ;D :o  I wonder how many people have signed up with Kozzi anyway.  I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole.  I've been looking for that next site and have eliminated Pocketstock, Kozzi and Pond5 based on the excellent feedback MSG has provided me.  Probably not any other site to consider and given your feedback, Pocketstock has joined the dark side.

Surprise to see a list of high profile companies that have apparently purchased from Pocketstock on their front page: http://www.pocketstock.com/
Anyone on here sold a single thing with these guys yet?
I am about to stop uploading.

You're STILL uploading?

I hold my horses for now until I see their newly implemented system to kick in and bring some sales.

Why throwing time into something with no returns whatsoever?
