I do like the 50 percent sites. But it's buyer traffic that is critical. There are so many ms sites now, most of which are performing in a vacuum. To compete with the life's of shutterstock and Istock, you would have to have a serious, non regional model with BIG BUCKS and a big buck pipeline over time to market. Just ask peter from stockfresh. He has admitted that it is near impossible to establish any form of competitive landscape against the giants who have a lot of marketing clout. Most start ups say, "it's going to take time" just like peter did. Here it is years later and, for me, I make $4-$10 a month with 2800 images, whereas on SS I make (until this month) 100x more.

Maybe I missed the marketing hook, differentiator, firepower, etc in a previous thread but can you share any encouraging highlights? Video, for example is of great interest to me. I have maybe 130 videos on 5 sites but only two sites sell....the big two. I know I need more volume and variety on videos but still, I am interested in what's different at US that we as contributors should get excited about?

Does someone know the gameing "alpha" status?
Its funny, the publishers talk about things that are naturalness.
Why is priced at something, that should be the standard?
 :D

@Mantis
Look at Nokia mobile phones business. Bm they are out of business now.
Some day they was leader (big player). So i go on with uploading at new site(s).
But only if I can assume that it is worth to support the Agency.

For example. Bad site design at imagegate.com. It looked bad. They never changed something.
There was no season-dependent design. Nothing. Now they are out? I can not access the site at least several days. Sometimes no real business is visible.

Hello Everyone,

Buyer traffic is a critical factor for any stock agency. Why upload to an agency that can not be seen? What are your marketing plans? what makes you different? these are questions every stock shooter should ask.
We are a new stock agency and aim to provide a service for contributors and buyers to be happy with. We offer both Images and Footage. This makes us a one stop shop for the buyer and user. Why buy Images from one agency and go to anther for video? Although, agencies like IS and SS, P5 and many more offer this service, we aim to also provide a communication channel on the artwork with a cleaner design. Interlaced and 4*3 footage is still offered on many agencies, we are starting fresh with 1080p as a minimum.

Do we have a marketing plan for the next 10, 20, 30 years, of course we do. Can we be as successful as IS and SS, we believe we can. If there is no risk there is no success. This is why we only aim to keep improving based on what our contributors are suggesting, because at the end of the day, all our uploaders need to be happy and satisfied that their work is going to get noticed and to make sales.

Regarding our communication channel, our set up is designed more user friendly so that the user is not needing to click all over the place in order to get from A to B. This can be frustrating for people that are wanting to make professional connections with the contributors and buyers. Constant feedback from contributors will ensure we exceed industry standards. We appreciate all of your support.

I just signed up! Is there a reason why you have to specify "country" in your image data? I do food, ethic foods from around the world. Will this field influence search at all?

I submitted 6 files just to test it out. My biggest gripe, when editing, is the mandatory country requirement. Since I live in the USA, I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of a very long list, for that choice. Either change that field to a "fill in", or I'm just going to start clicking on a country that starts with "A".

Really, who cares?  Just get rid of that requirement.

No need to scroll down. A simple tip (which I think I got right here on MSG) is just press the first letter of the country you want a certain number of times. So for USA just press U six times, for Greece press G four times etc (I'm doing the number of times you press from memory so may be slightly out -but you get the idea!). This simple method works across any site (not just microstock) where you have to choose a country from an alphabetical list. You'll soon remember how many times to press for each country and be there virtually instantly. Thanks to whoever passed on that time saving tip! Regards, David.

In addition to what Newsfocus1 has mentioned, most dropdown lists will allow you to enter multiple characters and get to the item that you want. In this case, if the US is written as 'United States of America', you can type the letters 'u' followed by 'n' one after the other but a bit quicker. It will take you to 'United States of America'. If you are not fast enough, it will take you to the first country that starts with 'u' and then jump to the first country that starts with 'n'

Good Luck  :)

Change your price for every resolution to help you sell your work.

I'd like to know how can I set up my prices once, so I don't have to edit every single price for every file in each size? One bulk option available? It would save a lot of time. Same with country, categories, editorial option...
