$1 sell price for a extended license. Results in $ 0.20 commission for you.

I don't sell there, but my guess would be the same for why anybody sells at any site that doesn't offer the highest commission available... it "results in $0.20 commission for you". If you don't sell there then it results in a $0.00 commission for you.

Colourbox has turned down my application, even though they were hosting some of my image stolen by one of their accepted contributors.

To be fair, they took down the stolen images promptly, but it just makes them look unprofessional.

However, many of us sell at chaotic agencies, for less than .20 per sale.

Also hesitantly started uploading some to iStock, so bring on those 2 cent licenses!

I looked at Colourbox and decided the commission was an insult.

When looking, I also noticed a copy of one of my vectors, about 95% the same, with identical description and keywords. I reported the copy at several sites, who promptly took it down, but Colourbox told me it was different enough and acceptable.

The whole experience put me off Colourbox completely.

tried out colourbox box for a year. 20k+ images. barely made any sales. All the other big agencies do well with the same set of images.
I added some 4k clips,  2 recent sold for .80 euro only made .20 cents.

pulling down all my content now.

Avoid Colourbox!!!
