Topic: A few reminders for new members (and old) [rules]

I realize I am 'preaching to the choir' here, but future members may find this thread helpful, if nothing else to know why they were banned from the forum.

From the member agreement when you sign up.
• We take the "Be Polite" rule very seriously. We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning.

That is to say, if your sole purpose when signing up to this forum is to cyber poke people with a stick in the back while they try and have a conversation (especially under the guise of anonymity) - your account will be removed.

Thanks Leaf! I think it's good to be reminded of these rules. While anonymity can be good for freedom of speech, it can also be abused in many ways.

Understood and in complete agreement. Because of the 'family environment' that can be found at MSG,  this is the ONLY forum that I read. I am happy to be member.
Even in the most free of societies, there are laws. When laws are abused, action must be taken. This is not censorship.  When we joined the 'society' of MSG we were informed of the laws of this society....and, of the consequences of abuse of the law. AND, we agreed to comply with the laws of MSG.
When the law is abused, we can and should expect action.
If any do not like the laws imposed, they also have the freedom to show their displeasure by... leaving.
Leaf,  I've got your six on this one. Thank you for all your effort and dedication to keeping the forum upbuilding and of true value.   Cool=tom

This is one of the best forums - not only among photographic forums - for this very reason. Thanks, Leaf!
