My last  10 pics uploaded to SS resulted in- 1 being rejected due to out of focus? Then the other 9 being clumped together saying that they would be usable had I been accepted. I understood 7 out of 10 were to be accepted. I have none of the 9 refused yet am still unable to be accepted. Have contacted SS. Are they always so difficult?

That does sound a little odd aly, best bet is to wait to hear back from SS. If 9 were approved, then that should be a pass.

Hope you get it sorted out.

I sold 2 pics in a week -not too bad as I have only been uploading for about that time. And there is no limit like DT, so all is fine at the moment. Bit disappointed with DT as rejected about 90 odd designs when 2 weeks accepted many .What is going on there ???

I am well accepted and working well with DT, DP, FT, 123rf, CS, BS and got things in order there. I had thought of SS to be my last choice because of its premium nature.  Today I took a plunge and have submitted 10 best images. I have sent them links to my other profiles on various microstock sites. I think that would work.

I am hopeful that it would be approved. It is like applying for B1 visa which makes you anxious to get it. It is because other agencies are not that much successful. Shutterstock is choosy and pricey because it can afford to be so. For photographers, it is dream to be on SS.

I got all my 10 photos rejected for various reasons. Those 10 photos are already up on various agencies but, it did not work with SS.  I accept it gracefully.  I will work hard to improve to their standards.

My next turn comes after one month. Lets wait.

As I'm coming from IS exclusivity, I can tell you that most agencies have very low standards, having images up there doesn't mean a lot about technical quality. I had 96-99% of my images approved there. FT has a bit higher standards but SS is the toughest, at least in some aspects even tougher than IS. Good luck. :-)

I agree SS is higher standard than IS. So far my acceptance rate is about 60% at SS, all files that were accepted and selling well at IS, not sure whether to downsize the focus rejects or just accept defeat and move on?

I've a very different issue with shutterstock. I've uploaded 10 to be selected as a contributor. They said that 6 of them are O.K. , 2 of them have focus problems and 2 of them doesn't have a property release. Later on I said that I have a property release for the 2 files that they have rejected. But they did not accept the release at all. They told me that the review is over and I have to wait 2 weeks to upload 10 another files and another inspector will see again. I have lost the chance by only 1 file and they do not give me an chance to upload the property release
