Hello Everyone,
On their site they let you sell "digital downloads" as Royalty Free or Rights Managed.  I don't think they're as big as Shutterstock but since your putting up images on their site for sale on their various products - i.e. t-shirts, cell phone cases, bath towels, etc...  wouldn't it make sense to sell your RF/RM images while your at it?  Does anyone here do it this way?  Thanks.
BTW, still not clear on differences between FineArtAmerica.com and Pixels.com.

I sell enough to pay my annual fee.
But every year I sell less and less, even having more and more images on the site.

By the way I find this site very badly managed, and the owners unfriendly and arrogant.

Sold one item. I never really don't have too many artworks there though, to be fair, probably less than 30.

That's a decent result. What would you say are the top 3 tips you would give to start earning?

I've got 500 after 6 months and haven't even earned enough to buy a coffee.

1. Be patient.
2. Clean your port an put only best images there! Images you want to see framed on someones wall. Less is more.
3. FAA is not microstock and should be treated that way.

I made a little over $500 with them last year. I have to market my website regularly in order to produce any sales.

Is this really what people are working for? Crumbs? Heck, might as well do it for free. Its a sad state of affairs.

I sell prints through FAA/Pixels because I can set the pricing so it's pretty close to my personal website. I don't sell licensing through them because my personal site has a more traditional RM calculator and I can't configure their pricing to match my site.

Couldn't agree more and the fools submitting?...wow Kids find a Image that doesn't belong to them in any way. throw a filter on it and sell it as there artwork. Thats pretty much all that place is. and the owners don't care One bit. I had it out with them 3/4 years ago.
