I'm a newbie here too, so I'm not too sure. All I can say is that it's been handy for me so far, because when I log in, I can see which buddies are online.

I only answer my buddies.

Hi Stu,

So I click on the heart if I want to make someone my buddy, and when I log in and go to the forum index, I can see who's online when I scroll to the bottom. Above that list, it shows how many of my buddies are online and how many are hidden. There's probably other places where you can see who's online, but I'm still finding my way around the site. If I find other places, I'll post the info here.
 

Oops! My bad Stu! Just goes to show that it's not a good idea to say stuff when I'm a newbie and not double checking!

So... if you click on a person's username, you will go to their profile and ta-dah! It says "[Add to Buddy List]" above their name.

No I didn't mean that hidden means hidden buddies, just that in the bracket, it has buddies and hidden. That's all.

I don't either Stu so don't feel bad. I did learn something though....I always wondered how you show a useful post and now I know. I never even noticed the heart next to the "Quote" button...lol
