Hello everybody,
I just registered to the forum and I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Roberto, and I am italian. I started selling on microstock sites last december and now I contribute to 8 agencies (in order of sales: iStock, Fotolia, SS, 123rf, DreamsTime, BigStock, DepositPhotos, and Alamy). I am a photographer and my favorite subjects are ***scapes (land-, sea-, city-), and more generally all the subjects I can photograph staying outdoor.
Actually, even if I wasn't registered to the forum, I follow this community from the first day I approached the microstock world and I would like to thank everybody for the very useful advices and suggestions I read here.

I saw your Flickr page and it's very beautiful: I like a lot your long exposure shots taken during daytime.

Welcome. You have some lovely scenery in your portfolio.

Other than getting more of your portfolio on Shutterstock, I'd suggest you look at keywords to help your images be found more often (only when appropriate; spam is a bad idea)

For example, if I search on SS for Italian coastline, over 8,000 images show up. Having the specific town and region is important, but also think about more general words a buyer might use as well. Also terms used for wind power generating windmill include wind turbines - and your shot of the railway tracks in the countryside has only windmills.

Check the keywords you do use on a big site (SS is good) and pick one of the images similar to yours and see what other keywords it has - it's a good way to learn how to describe things.

Thanks a lot for your advices and for looking my pictures so carefully!
I know I have to care more the keywording process; it is very frustrating that it is not possible to add some keywords after the picture is accepted, and in some agencies even before it is reviewed but I understand that it is necessary to prevent spamming.
