How many and which are the agencies with which you currently collaborate in stock, I currently collaborate with 9 agencies:

"collaborate" is an interesting choice of word you've been taken in by their propaganda I fear. I supply all of those apart from photocase and a few tiny ones that I don't really bother with lately. I reckon you've got 95% plus of the ms market covered there.

Have you had any flicker of life from sign elements gave up contributing a while back
One one sale (small) sale so far. Started submitting to them only 6 weeks ago and have 250 images so far. Will build up slowly since they don't take on editorials and these consist a small majority of my port.
As per Master Steve's latest earnings report, he makes about $30-40 a month with them on 5,000 (?) images. Not much but then it's not much effort to submit to them.
Also recently started submitting to PicFair which has an interesting business model.

Thanks I'm not in his class so doesn't sound too encouraging.....might upload some if I get bored. I've been loading upto eyem but no sales...some seem to do well there but I dont think they like my style and uploading is horrible.

How do you know you have ONE sale? SignElements only report your total royalties at the end of the month with no indication what and how many of your images were sold. For all you know there could have been several sales for that small amount. That is my biggest criticism of SignElements.

Well I suppose that could be 3 at 5c each. ;-). I got a few similar it wasn't really worth the effort to try and work out from the site what they were actually for.

That is exactly the point. You have no idea. Great for the agency since they can basically do what they want and you won't know. It is difficult to trust an agency with such a lack of transparency.

Top Three - SS, AS, IS - and Alamy I'm active. Others on a "don't care" basis, if I feel like shooting something out to them.
Someone long ago said either the top two and skip the rest, because the extra effort is a waste of time, or upload everything to everyplace you can.
The top two have become three and I personally find some travel and scenic have more potential on Alamy than any Microstock sites. But if I was someone new, just starting, and didn't do video (because then the answer is different) I'd say top three and consider the rest after you are established at the better paying agencies.

That is exactly the point. You have no idea. Great for the agency since they can basically do what they want and you won't know. It is difficult to trust an agency with such a lack of transparency.
Refusal to provide detailed sales reports (I asked) and next to no sales is why I removed my images from SignElements.

Thank you for sharing. Going to add my images to IS ans AS. I only have 20+ illustrations for sale, so your experience helps and saves me a lot of time.

How are those image exclusive agencies for you? Especially Robert Harding, I shoot a lot of travel and was always tempted to apply. Do they sell?

Disappointed with Arcangel, lost almost all motivation with them.
I've had some 20 sales with RH but their cut is pretty steep - 30% of what they receive, so lots of hands taking their cut in the already small pie. I did receive a 24 cents royalties from a RM Getty sale via RH which nearly made me puke. :o
Otherwise, a nice agency with a strong distribution network.
RH are image exclusive. Arcangel have an RF non exclusive collection but they don't allow duplicating on Micros. Their main collection is RM exclusive which makes sense since images go to suspense / horror type covers.

Interesting, thank you! Those * Getty pennies are like a disease that affects every agency. Sigh.

I already published this pie (share of my 2017 revenues), so here you go again.
As you can see, the list of agencies and their ranking is not significantly different than the ranking you can see on the right side of this page (although some agencies, e.g. AS/IS, swapped places in 2018)

I have photos on Bigstock, but don't contribute there any more. I have a self-hosted site that doesn't get the attention it deserves. I'm thinking of expanding into doing more portrait/wedding work for private clients, which would cause me to redo the whole site *sigh

I send them my images, they set the rules.
I have portfolios on 10 agencies however I'm only currently sending new work to 6 of these as sales at the bottom 4 don't justify.

By amount of sales? Or based on feedback?
As I've understood you first log in - then upload your N-amount of images, then wait for couple month or so, and if no sales, just forget it (bad one), right? go for next one.

I think thats what most do i.e upload and see if theres any action....I just leave images on non-selling site as I'm a hopeless optimist and think maybe things will improve in the future...they never do ;-).

I think thats what most do i.e upload and see if theres any action....I just leave images on non-selling site as I'm a hopeless optimist and think maybe things will improve in the future...they never do ;-).
