Good morning Monday morning Stock Folks,

Lately, when I use the Pen Tool to truly isolate my objects on white background I have been getting rejected with the following message from the editor-

'Image appears to have been over-filtered or has had an unwanted filter
applied to it. "


Yet, if I don't use the pen tool on the exact shot it gets approved by this company. I do not use any filters whatsoever on my pics since that is a no no for microstock photos at least one's that I applied the filter when I first started submitting pics.


Should I email the editor and explain my steps of processing the photo or just leave it alone? Obvious I don't want to bug the editors but just confused on why I am getting this rejection yet in other stock companies these exact pics where I used the pen tool are being accepted.

Thanks for the fast reply. It appears that this particular site doesn't like this type objects- Coins to be exact. I've told that they have very little 'Commercial Value' thus put under the microscope of the editors. I love to collect coins thus a hobby of mind but I will have to pass on submitting pics of them since they don't sell very well or even get accepted.


I hope to have my personal website on line soon thus will send link of full photo soon unless you have a place where I upload to show my reject pic?

Dropbox is a handy place to store images, kind of like an external hard drive. You can set up images in a way that gies them a public link so they can be displayed on message boards and in emails.

An account at Dropbox allows you to display images easily and sync your files online and across your computers automatically. You can do a lot of other cool things there and it is easy to set up. Nope. Just put the image in your Public folder, click and hold on the name (at least on a Mac) and you will get a menu with a public link designation. Paste that link where you want it and it will be accessible by the public and show in forum posts. Try it.
