Hi Stock Folks,

I have some questions pertaining to sales on the stock companies-

How is that I have only 12 photos on Shutterstock yet I have sold more photos from them that on all the rest combined? For example, - see below

Are Shutterstock and iStock so much better in marketing than all the rest of the companies? Being new to the game should I concentrate on only Shutterstock and Dreamstime? I am surprised that my sales are so weak with Fotolia since I've heard only good things about them?

Any thoughts?

SS buyers will download anything new.  That's the fun of a subscription.  Of course, for the privilege of selling more, you get paid less.

No, they get paid less (99% of the time) than PAYG downloads.

The thing is with ss unless they are outstanding images they will stop selling after the first weeks or two whereas on other sites the images will often go on to make more money.
