I had a thought and yes thoughts can get you in trouble. I counted on this site (Microstock Poll Results) the number listed stock sites. They list 41 that have no ratings and 11 that have 1.9 to 80 points listed.  I myself have wondered how do these slow or no seller sites stay in business. I am on 22 sites. My sales numbers come very close to the ratings listed on the Microstock poll results . I have about 5000 sell-able images and really only about 10 of the top sites sell images on a regular time frame  for me. I have always wondered if some of these international stock sites report all of their true sales. We, would have no way to check the honesty of these sites that just sell maybe two or three sales a year. When the top sites sell hundreds of images each month for me. Has anyone ever wondered if all these listed companies are honest on their reports of sales ???

We have no idea if people are honest in reporting their sales for the poll, so I'd be wary of placing too much trust in the results.

If a site has no number, it means that not enough people are entering their sales amount for that site to get a number in the poll. Notice it doesn't say '0', which is what your post is assuming.

The sites do not report their numbers for this poll. These are generated by members of this forum only who put in their monthly sales numbers, real or not.

I myself have wondered how do these slow or no seller sites stay in business.

Let's assume someone has 2,000 images in their portfolio and only gets 2 sales per month. If the site has 20 million images that would translate to 20,000 sales each month. And while you might only earn 60 cents from each sale, the actual price for the sale is $2. So this agency would never make it to the top 10 on the list on the right side but still cash in $40,000 a month. That's quite okay for a business that often does not have more than three of four people hired and some tasks outsourced.

Actually I believe that some agencies make even less than that but considering that some are in countries where salaries may be around $500 (or even less), you can still run a business.
