I just registered and this is my first post.  I have been following the Microstock Group  for some time and greatly appreciate all the shared information.  I've been meaning to sign up and join in so today is the day.  By the way, I have been making 100% of my living from shooting stock for the last 15 years and got involved in microstock one year ago.

Members who are 'lurkers' (those who have less than one post) are not able to start new threads.  This is an effort to cut down on spambots.

Been going around and around MSG, wondering why I can't start a thread. Just read the above, so hopefully now that I've posted this, I can start a thread and I can stop hitting my laptop.

That's a great idea! Spam has become a huge problem everywhere on the web.

this forum is cool in the sense that there is a freedom to express your views without getting ex-communicated like some other forums (no need to mention, most of you already know them).  we have an amazing bunch of pros and cons and our bitch is obvious, and yes, at times can get furious (throwing everything at each other from baseball bats... shucks, no pun intended... to your mammy's old shoes)  Grin
but as soon as you get someone pimping their images or trying to use this is a commercial launchpad to fatten their wallets, you can see us all joining forces to make fun of it. sure, we do pimp our own images once in a while, but we know it's going to be pointed out and we laugh together at our shameless deeds.

still, this is where we meet. the only thing missing here is the real ale and good looking waitresses. but other than that, we got a good pub here. welcome to you new people.

I'm always sitting in the dark corner, smoking a cig, with all my secrets. Sometime people come to my table, so don't be shy  Cheesy

I'm excited to finally be a member! I've been "lurking" for awhile but finally decided to join now that I'm starting to submit illustrations into micro.  I have a background in illustration and design but am totally new to the microstock world so I look forward to getting some tips and advice from y'all!
