Hi guys. I am thinking about upgrading my 10mp D80 to D5100 as the latter is 545 USD right now (D7000, D5200 and D7100 are still too expensive). I want more resolution and video capabilities. I have two old lenses without an autofocus motor but will use them with manual focus. The swivel screen will be really useful as I do lots of macro shots. 16mp will also get me larger files. My two questions are -- how's the quality of the picture - I am asking you guys with D5100 and D7000 (the sensors are the same). My second question is -- is the video quality good enough for microstock? A friend of mine takes videos with his Canon 550D but the bitrate there is double the D5100. Thank you in advance, all opinions are welcome.

I have a D5100 because I wanted a light camera. I shoot mainly textures for 3d modelling and have married the camera up with an AFS NIKKOR 50mm  1.4G lens and a light weight carbon tripod.  I get very sharp textures and the lens is also good for portraits. I think the lens makes the most difference when choosing a camera.
