Hello,

Can anyone give advice on starting out with animation videos?

I use illustrator for vectors and was thinking of trying animation, perhaps using After Effects? Or can somebody recommend software?

How well do they sell in comparison to real life videos?Can anyone please throw me some ideas on additional monetization strategies for newbielink:https://blog.advids.co/20-brilliant-animated-motion-graphics-video-examples/ [nonactive]?

After Effects is the way to go for motion graphics. There are other options, but if you're already using Illustrator, then that's going to be your best option. In my experience, motion graphics videos sell better than live action videos. Everyone loves a bit of HUD action... make some sci-fi HUDs in Illustrator and animate them in AE.

Photoshop can do basic animation/video editing. You might want to play with that a bit before shelling out for After Effects

Toon Boom is one of the best if not the best animation programs

For cartoon type stuff, you're probably right... but not for all animation.
