I'm a little curious about this tee shirt place called Teeporium.

Basically you provide your graphic and if your Canadian you get excepted, they sell your work and supposedly you get some cash.

Has any one tried this place or has any one tried these other tee shirt places for your designs?
Are they any good in terms of payment, do they treat you right?
Is it worth it?

My immediate reaction: the name Teeporium sounds like it should be a cryptocurrency.

I think Zazzle is the market leader in this area I do have a few products there but never really achieved enough sales to encourage me to make a real effort. Looking at the site I'm not sure how many people would pay $22 for what look to me like very average designs.

Product prices at Zazzle are just ridicules, maybe if some companies find something interesting for their promo material, but for individual purchases I don't see anyone buying anything, you can get those things for a fraction of price at local print shops.

Agree I only really only get the odd postcard sale with 4-5c commission

. Odd mug or two and some jewellery once. But I wouldn't pay their prices!

You're looking at it upside down, anybody can buy cheap, but where can you buy something unique that only you can supply. Put your prices up, I sold two postcards this week and got 44 pence for the pair.

You need to go back to bed, 44 pence UK money, for a pair, that's £0.22 each.

Still, I just can't force myself to believe in it, even if you hit a jackpot with popular unique design that becomes a trend, Chinese are going to steal the design, print it, sell it multiple times cheaper and make money instead of you.

I didn't write that. What I wrote is designers are highly unlikely to make money by sticking their designs on overpriced generic Chinese leggings and coffee cups because the design will be copied, printed on those same leggings and coffee cups and sold a lot cheaper through well established market places like Aliexpress.

Chinese copyright law is very different from what it is in most other countries.

And legal or not, they can copy absolutely anything anyone is selling online (and offline). Anywhere. And it happens a lot.

Still, there is business going on in the rest of the world. Just another thing to consider when setting your prices, that's all.

If you have a unique design, you need to take care of your branding and make people not want to buy ripoffs.

That is true and I agree except that it doesn't matter where you are in the world because Chinese goods will be shipped there cheaply.
But I'm not bashing on designers or either of their skills, I'm doing towards the Zazzle and places alike that just don't have or can't allow designers to have competitive prices.
If I was a buyer I wouldn't care or wouldn't care to investigate if the coffee cups are coming from the designer or a ripoff printed on the identical goods but cheaper.

Thought so. That was my experience with Cafe Press. Tried it quite a while ago. Zip in sales. Probably too much competition and stuff gets buried fast with only a basic account. But still some artist/designers seem to still manage make some kind of a living. Saw a really fancy airbrushed shower curtain for sale there with a mermaid theme on it. Can't imagine that guy not making a sale. But then he does have a premium account. So.......
