I have that problem with money.  I tend to spend my props before I get a chance to shoot them.  Grin

That's why there's no pictures of alcohol in my portfolio, only empty glasses.  Roll Eyes

I also have this problem whit food photography.  I don't want to start making some in afternoon just to shoot it. Then I will waste the food, because I don't want to invent an afternoon meal...not healthy

Shoot at night then.  Cheesy

Use a flash to recreate natural light.

I can't wait for spring so I can go outside and shoot. I've been shooting food in studio all winter and I think I've gained 20 lbs....not from shooting it of course, but I was taught not to be wasteful...have to eat what I cook!

I've had the same issue - only it's the rest of the house eating my "props"! Wink

I've had good luck with calling up some friends before an afternoon shoot and inviting them over for some prop-leftover parties. They love free food. I love not wasting all the leftovers. Keeps me on schedule too - I know I've got hungry mouths to feed.  Grin
