I personally have not encountered that. Are you using some sort of anti-spyware software? Sometimes those can alert to false positives and block access to lots of harmless things.

I had the same, and thought my desktop might be infected...
Grabbed my laptop, it was the same, at least infection was not the explanation.

Found the solution.

Sooooooo, I guess you use firefox, right ? and search via the search box up right ? Well the very, very quick fix is to not use that box, but go on google website instead and search from there. The quick fix is to update your firefox to 3.0.5. Search from the up right box will not provoke this behaviour anymore in google !

It seems your computer is infected with the infamous "google redirect virus". It captures network data streams and redirects all googles search results to some other URL's, so any browser will show fake results.

Though my computer is protected by an antivirus and a firewall, I had this very problem 2 weeks ago, and it has been a pain in the *** to get rid of it.

After many tries and searches, I found a utility called "combofix" which was able to clean my computer (I'm running Windows XP). But be aware that it's a quite powerful utility which will scan your whole drive(s) and may clean/delete some files or registry entries if it considers them malicious, so if you're not too comfortable with such tools, please use it with care or don't use it at all.

Hope it helps
Erick

No virus !
It's all around the news. No official statement from google yet, but it's a glitch on the server side.
