I see a lot of vectors and I think they are so cool.  Looks like it would be fun to create.  Never done it before.  Looks like you would use Illustrator for this.  I have CS2, ImageReady and Photoshop.  Does it take long to create a vector? Is it very difficult to do?  Like I said, I don't know the first thing about it.

Vectors can be absorbing to do, but are pretty time consuming. I use Illustrator, and find it pretty easy to use.
Here is a bit of info about vectors:

snapshot,

I believe that to create some serious well done illustrations, it takes both a lot of talent and work (plus some software knowledge, of course).  I'm jealous of some illustrations I see.  I can do only very basic stuff, like this:

The best thing in terms of productivity is to create designs in which you can reuse elements in new designs.

I started with Canvas 8, now I use Illustrator CS2.

That's a very pretty design!  Maybe I should start with a cheaper software in the beginning to see if it would be something that I would want to really get into.  Looks like that what you did. I mean, I don't know how much Canvas 8 is, but I do know how much Illustrator is.  Cha-ching, know what I mean?  Thank you for your help.

I got Canvas free in a magazine I subscribe, but I believe they offer older version for dld at their website (Deneba is the company).  Although my best-selling illustration was created with it, the conversion to EPS in Canvas doesn't work well and so I can only sell it as raster (which I don't mind, in fact).

I remember reading about some free good vector software, maybe someone here can give some advice.

i have done some really simple drawings that are selling pretty well.  Keeping things simple is perhaps a selling point.  To bad simple is the only thing i can do.
