I can see parts 1-3 and maybe the 4th is up there. This explains to me why some lenses cost so much.

I wonder if some (cheaper) lenses get assembled automatically by robots.

Having people fuzzing around with all the innards I assume there is still quite a risk of having dust specs inside the lens. That whole workstation and environment didn't look like a sterile room...  Huh

Nice, thanks!

What started me out searching was the comment that Canon wasn't making any new lenses except L models. (not absolutely true, but marginally accurate) They are redesigning lenses and making new EF-S offerings. I don't use EF-S except a 28-135 that came with a used 10D, and that's for my grab cam, a 20D which also doubles as a R/C remote. I'm not leaving an L lens sitting out in a box or a tripod hanging from a fence. Cheesy

I don't care if my lenses have IS and most of the time turn it off because it jumps and delays the focus speed. Everything is about speed, where normal people don't have to worry about how fast their camera and lens will grab a sharp focus.

So while I was searching for Canon new lens information, I found the videos. Of course that led me to be distracted until I watched them and forgot about the original destination.

Here's the lens lineup for anyone interested. I just noticed that the extenders are now version III.
