Obama and his family are arriving at Rio tonight and will stay 3 blocks from me. There have been already helicopters around here, so this promises to be a busy Sunday. They are supposed to visit the Corcovado (where the statue of * is) tomorrow. They are certainly going to enjoy the view! And while he is busy with his official agenda, I hope the girls will be able to enjoy the city. What a waste of time to come to Rio and stay indoors!

I had thought of going there to take some photos, but probably the security is so intense nobody will get anywhere near the hotel, not to mention they will probably use a garage.

It's probably going to be a madhouse of security. Good luck if you try tho.

They have arrived. I heard the helicopters minutes ago. The news said many people were waiting in front of the hotel, but were unable to see anything.

Nah, I am not going to try to photograph him. Too many people, possibly being kept too far away. The news showed people in front of the hotel late at night, waiting to see him at the window. He must be sleeping now.

I wonder if anyone else, other than his entourage, is allowed to stay in the hotel. It's odd because they were supposed to stay in another hotel, that changed in the last minute.

It seems they won't visit the Corcovado. They should at least go watch a football match tomorrow.
