in one sentence -  what is this microphilosophy.

For me - knowing how to spell philosophy properly. I will get it right one day.

Really - being happy.  In business, success gets measured in $. In private life, people should measure it in happyness.

not sure you wanted to turn this into a debate but... Smiley

the problem with measuring it in happiness I think, is that some people have a hard time being happy (at least during certain periods of their life).  it doesn't mean they have done anything wrong, and doesn't mean they should or possibly can do anything different, it just means that is they way they are made.  For those people to have a happy happy life, is pretty challenging.  I think they can still get meaning out of life by doing things that are important to them.... ie loving their family or friends and showing it (according to my definition of meaning)

We think happiness is about getting somewhere. We could each make a list of requirements to be happy, but by the time we achieved them all the list would have grown. Think donkey and carrot.

The trick about happiness is to be happy where you are RIGHT NOW!  The tragedy about happiness is that people think it's "out there" somewhere.

Try this experiment to see for yourself. Make a happy face. Smile. Smile big! Smile so big that your face contorts and you look silly. Do it for at least 10 seconds, and then see how you feel.

Kids in remote Bolivia who have nothing are 10 times more happy than us rich people in the first world with all our security.

You live a while, then you die. It's not complicated or overly significant. Be happy as a choice, because you can!

Success in life is not about happiness. Happiness is instantly available to everyone. Success is about making a difference. Something that's worthy of your life.

Ok, that got a bit heavy, didn't it! Wink
