Have just uploaded a few pics and was wondering what is the acceptance rate like at PM.

Any experience?

Close to 100%, They seem to accept more than the micros.

HEY.  Since you brought up Pantermedia, and since Freezing commented... I stumbled across one of Freezing's photos in my RSS feeds and it linked to a contest at PM.

He has not one but TWO awesome photos on their current contest page.
(Sorry Jan, just trying to make you blush).

Most of my photos from last batch uploaded (~20 files, steady sellers)  were rejected for keywording at PM.  >:(
Needles to say that were no problems with keywords at all other stocksites...

the bad thing about the site is they want your bank account# that's a no no for me

Why? I do not have to tell them my bank account. They transfer my money to my PayPal account. You only need to tell them your bank details if they should transfer your money to your bank account directly. I prefer PayPal. Since I do not want to pay any international bank fees, I will definitely not tell them my account details!

Regarding the rejection rate, I do not really know. Have to upload more images. In the forums they talk about more rejections lately. Keywording is an issue. They have rejected one of mine because some of my keywords did not exactly match my model.

I've been getting a lot of rejections on Panthermedia.  They are more strict on my images than even Dreamstime or Fotolia, which is ridiculous.  I really hope I start seeing some sales soon - because slow review times and a lot of rejections are really starting to turn me off.  Oh yeah, did I mention I have to often use google translate to understand rejection reasons!?   ;)

Yes! reviews are very slow and then when accepted, it takes longer for images to appear in your gallery because of the 8 days anonymous thing!

It really drags out!

To me, it all seems a bit untidy and fiddly and if sales don't come around I don't think I will be hanging around either!

I havent yet uploaded many photos on panther, but so far my impression is that they accept more than average micro. Also, their rejections are very different from those at micro. Some of my railway station pictures were rejected (my own fault, they clearly stay in the rules that railway stations aren't accepted without a Property Release) and some people shots that were accepted by all micros (Panther rejected for reason "too many" or "not good enough"). Despite those few rejections in general they accept most of my pictures so far. Both digital and slide scans.

I have a rather microscopic port there, 6 images only, all cityscapes (joined PM this month).
Acceptance rate: 100%, 3 pics got reviewer's recommendation.
Sales: none so far

I find Fotolia ridiculous, they started to reject my images that have been accepted by SS, IS, and DT. Maybe FT doesnt want outdoor pics, and that's all I do..., but when they list multiple rejection reasons (noise, out of focus, lighting, etc. etc.) for images accepted by the major sites, I find it disrespectful. The images might not be brilliant, but surely they are not so bad. I gave up on uploading to FT.

As for Panther, please take a look at their list of lesser wanted subjects:
http://www.panthermedia.net/index.php?page=cms%2Fpages%2Fdisplay2.php&cms_id=209&blanc=on

It might be wise to stay away from those subjects, to improve the acceptance rate.
However, the say they don't need photos of landmarks, but all of the pics that I uploaded there were landmark photos, and they were accepted. I just tried to make them stand out from the rest, uploaded mainly HDRs  or nightshots.

BTW, graficallyminded, thank you for your comment on Mostphotos, actually that pic was also accepted by Panther.

I think Panther does have some potential, their price structure is decent, much better than the micros, so just a couple of sales means some nice income. I read also a German micro forum where some members report regular earnings from PM.

If anybody would like to join Panther, here is my referral link:
