You're better off selling pop corn on the street than uploading images on Panthermedia  :-[

Sales volume was always low, but there used to be sales for good money. These sales disappeared for all practical reasons to be replaced by subscription sales of EUR 0.23. On top of that they deduct 15% from your payment due to some obscure German legislation.  At the current exchange rate this effectively renders subscription sales of US $ 0.21. Avoid them - not worth the effort.

But panthermedia offers an opt out function for subsription sales. Panther bought two other german agencies last year (Digitalstock and Cover Pictures), so may be they will be stronger on the german and european market in future.

That is good to know. I will opt out of subscription sales and leave my images there, but based on my sales history I will now have zero sales.

I earned 113 Euro there last year, better than nothing. But there is still hope!  8)

Are you opted out?

From my experience: When I opted out of subs, all credit sales stopped as well...

Yes, I opted out 2 years ago. Sales are rare. But they give then often more revenue as the common microstock level.

If you like earning 0,23 , where sales are occasionally then go ahead. You'll spend time on uploading and then must pray for any client coming.

I've been told PM is big seller with macro pricing so joined full of hopes. I remember when they were up in the poll on right column of forum... Now where they are? Middle bottom somewhere down there.

If you opt out of subs you can wait looonnnggg years to see payment. I was with them since 2011 and closed account in Feb. 2014. Sales from zero to few like 3-6 monthly with less than 1k files in port. Earned about 9 !!! In March and June I got email with info that I earned 0,xx , lol. Account closed 4 month ago and sales continue showing up. Wondering for how long and who and how will pay me back this earnings...

In short words, after my experience - WOT (one big waste of time!). I wouldn't ever bother with them, respect your time, work and effort.

Ps. "It takes six months until the images are removed from all partner websites due to the regulations of our Author Licence Agreement."

One sold this month with 13 Eur for me. But you get one sale/3-4 months.
I have only 300 images there.

Utter garbage. I have only stopped uploading to a couple of the sites on the list, PM has the honour of being one of them

There are many agencies with less sales as PM. So give them a try. IMO the most horrible thing is the non functional user interface. Some functions doesn't work at all since they changed to the "new" interface some years ago.

It's not just Panther.  It's Panther and their 83 dubious partners.

http://contributor.panthermedia.net/cms/distribution-partners

They do not allow contributors to opt out.

Ana, did you read other threads about PM on this forum? I hope you know what you are coming into...

PantherMedia hardly sells, clumsy interface. Not worth the effort.

Ana, it's not my case to care about what you do with you time, but I would honestly suggest the time given for upload you better spend on making new work and upload to agencies that really can sell. Don't waste your time on so very low earners (subs for 0,23, occasionally sales? phhhi!), where you can NOT opt out of partner sales, using site is very time consuming, not everything works as should, etc, etc... In my opinion PM has it's best days behind, long time ago.

Why don't you focus on some good sellers and try support sites with fair share (at least 40-50%).
Uploading 1000s files to agency that maybe will sell few files (in subs!) monthly is very naive and poor in my opinion.

Once more: There is an OPT OUT fur subscriptions! And this is more than some other agencies offer!

Roede, if I'd opt out (when I was with them) I should expect to see one sale for few months, less than 1... Still no point in wasting time for this place (in my opinion!).

Edit.
Just checked my print screens with two years of sales... Only subs, very few... and two sales in credit where one of them is for 0,24... Lol.

@Ariene: There must be something wrong in one or another way. After I opted out my lowest sales were at least 2 or 3 Euro.

BTW: Just to mention it: I like your pictures, and I love the finish of your material. Would fit perfectly with Stocksy I think.

So, I tried to register with panthermedia, but I found out, that my photos are already in the database. Is panthermedia partner site of fotolia or any other stock site?

Yes I know it's an old thread... maybe someone could be still interested since recently I had the same experience and found out quickly that the port i have (had) on depositphotos was replicated entirely on panthermedia without being aware. I don't have any problems with subs, but it's just a matter of knowing vs hiding.
I had to ask 3 times to DP to remove those images from PM (DP operators, they are instructed not to answer to any panthermedia/affiliate/partner question and so it was not easy, at the end i had to call them by phone before having success).

Anyway, actually 90% of the images on PM come from DP (easily found with the advanced search/partner option on PM) and combined with the fact that the images are listed/ranked in the 100% exactly same order on both sites, It makes me feel to be in front of a mother and son, or mirror if you prefer.

Consider also that you're not allowed to remove permanently any of your images on DP (aka "The Mother"8)).
