Total reject on IS and SS, but I knew that before I sent it in. Soft, pixelated, color balance off (yeah it's orange and Sunset color shift, I knew that!), not suitable for stock... I bet they had a hard time deciding which rejection buttons to hit. :D Seems like all Sunset pictures are rejected for the same reasons.

Aside from all that and it's not suitable for stock, where might it be suitable or is it just something to cover an empty spot on the wall? Stitched panorama by the way. I put it on Mostphotos which is about the same as just printing it and hanging it on the wall...

What do I do with something like this? Any market at all? 3400 x 1494  Pixels

I think the sunset colours are lovely - on my screen, at least, the orange looks very rich (which I like), but I can't tell what the subject is.  What are the people doing?  What's the square-ish structure in silhouette?

I agree the sunset is lovely but the composition looks unbalanced and its tilting to one side - you could fix the tilt easy enough and perhaps remove that white/brownish stripe at the bottom but I still think it wont make it as a stock photo - or anything else! Sorry. If you could have got closer and just focused on a couple, holding hands or kissing even, then... :) There is a market for panoramic images though - cityscape's are always popular in business/corporate offices/rooms and such.

Yeah, stock is overloaded with sunset images and most top tier sites seem to be discouraging submitting them.

I'd say try a place that sells prints. Zazzle or Redbubble?

Thanks, and everyone else too. Some things I missed, like the angle or tilt, which I didn't think was that far out of wack. I'll look at that again. I really can't see what you are saying Noodles? I should have the horizontal perfectly level?

Yes it has a name on Mostphotos, I should have included it. "Race Fans silhouetted Setting Sun"

Yes, stock is overloaded with Sunsets, birds, pets, flowers, things you find around the house - isolated on white and (you know it's coming...) Sliced Tomatoes! :) Actually I didn't shoot this shot, as a Sunset of race fans, I was shooting the cars under the people and afterward, decided I liked this part, so I cropped off the race track and the cars. I thought it looked a little different from the Sunset on the water or Sunset over the hill and woods. But I get the feeling that anything Sunset is an automatic fail on Micro?

All comments appreciated. Sometimes I get too close and can't step back and see. Actually the image says nothing.

Not at all, it seems my sunsets and editorials are the only photos accepted these days. The image was uploaded a few weeks back and it gets downloaded everyday or every other day. By the way I moved the watermark so it doesn't cover the boat a few weeks back also, I'm surprised it hasn't changed yet.

Let me say this, besides nice clean shot. What Boat? If you hadn't added that I wouldn't have noticed. Good idea moving the watermark.

Rather than bump the thread I'll add to the old message. Now that you added the other version, I can see the boat very stylishly crossing the T. Thanks.

^^^ Spam alert. Someone trying to sell bedroom quilts!

Makes sense. Whenever I need a new quilt cover I always check out the offers on commercial photography forums first.

What would a buyer use this to illustrate?
FWIW I thought it was a prison exercise yard!
