- Better performance under low and natural light (more dynamic range, less noise, more definition)
- A swimming pool (for the hottest days)
- A coffee machine (for the coldest days)

More MP, but on a LARGER SENSOR (which actually means I 'd love Canon to make medium format cameras, preferably at an affordable price).

Better low light performance without all the pesky noise ... Guess sony has taken my plea seriously with the Sony A7s.

Cameras already have too much of everything. The back to basics models will be soon the most popular ones.

I agree with Dook since I neither use or understand the need for about 50% of the functionality on modern cameras, especially crap like scene modes and creative filters.

If I must, I would like a more capable but still very small inbuilt flash which would also be detachable and wi-fi enabled.

Electronic view finder.  It's something I absolutely love about my Fuji cameras and I wish my Canon cameras had it.  When I look through the view finder, I want to see what the image will look like (similar to a preview mode).  When I adjust exposure compensation, I want to see what the image will look like (this is possible with the Fuji XT-1).

Yep. I love the EVF on my Fuji XE1. Better than either a DSLR or a rangefinder IMO.

An articulated screen would be good too if they could do that without adding additional bulk  - preferably with a well designed fold-out hood. The option to use it like a TLR would be excellent.

ETA: a built in (switchable) ND fllter would be good too - for using the lens wide open on sunny days.

I've said that before. We pay for all these electronics and automatic wheels, bigger screens and settings and then I shoot manual most of the time. I'd go for a camera that had a light meter (simple spot meter actually), auto-focus (nine points is as many as I can use?), and manual settings for everything else.

We don't use paint brushes that pick the best colors or wave themselves. Why have a camera with programs?  ;) OK I suppose I would accept one "P" or full auto mode for snapshots.

The vote on the pole was easy for me, of the choices offered. Better low light performance, which equates to less noise in the shadows and better dynamic range as a result.

A camera that has a self sensor cleaning system that actually works so you don't have to manually clean the sensor or spend the money to have Nikon gouge you.  The one I have on my Nikon is about as worthless as the scene Modes.

Removable lcd screen that I can use as a remote.

I will also add one more thing...a way to hook up up your camera to your computer and use internal camera software to check and adjust focusing. I purchased three Nikon D7100's and all three had to go back to Nikon because the mirrors were way out of alignment, giving me soft edges and sharp centers.  I should be able to do this in the camera just by hooking it up to my computer and making adjustments in real time with the image on my monitor.

oh  i certainly vote for the xray , but only for the people i want to see without clothes,  ;D

seriously, i vote for an auto covering that closes the body cavity, or maybe a mechanism that flips the sensor over  ,... once it senses you turning the lense to remove it. this way, the sensor dirt will be history.

How about waterproofing that actually works. Tiny P&S cameras can do it. Why can't a DSLR be made to consistently survive rainfall?

Voice control. I'm over having to take my eye away from the viewfinder to change things.

Surprised that no one mentioned this but how about a more versatile lens say a 18-200mm with a big aperture f/2.8 and since we are in the realm of fancy let's assume that it's compact too :)

One compact lens to carry during travel, one that will give you cool bokehs as well as super sharp closeups

Focus ... Is all about the focus ... all the ISO and other features are meaningless if the focus is not where you want it ...
