i thought it would be a fun topic for people to post videos in this thread with music to listen to while we sit and edit our photos :)

So no posting in this thread unless it is video with music that we can listen to.. preferably something you want to share with others.  .. perhaps I'll make a playlist and add it to this first post.

so here's my first one..
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JghgJToVP00&amp;feature=player_embedded" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JghgJToVP00&amp;feature=player_embedded</a>
!

and here's a link to the entire playlist with everyone's video attached

I usually like a bit of Nirvana but this is more local and we went to see them this year and they were great.  Also a nice bit of time lapse.

Holy cow.  I'm an old school guy, but this was definitely not my cup of tea.  But, hey, to each his own.  I am listening to some Gerald Wilson Orchestra.

I often listen to instrumental music for editing, mainly post-rock.
A personal favorite (band and song) is this one:

Thats OK. I wrote and produced the music for hundreds of TV shows and Feature films, Also produced about 40 Jazz and R&B albums and was fortunate to have played drums on 1000's of records from 1954 [Before rock] to around 1985 . Knew Gerald well. This piece was a cut from an album we did of the music for a popular TV show with Leonard Nimoy called "In Search Of."  fun times.

Fav current CD is Sting with the London Philharmonic. Quite amazing.

It might be a little weird,  but I myself listen to a lot of Korean music while I'm working.  I've been wanting to learn the language.  This one in particular is very pretty and relaxing.

otherwise I don't have a favourite, but I'm loving this thread.

Explosions in the Sky is an incredible band and perfect for Photoshop time.  I shot them a couple months ago and they sound even better live.  Their CD is all instrumental and I highly recommend it.

I loaded iTunes on my computer and listen to instrumental music with headphones so I won't disturb others and ambient noise won't disturb me.  99+ percent of what I listen to are movie scores ... King Arthur, Blade Runner, Lord of the Rings series, Pirates of the Caribbean and so on.  Plus a couple of playlists that I put together with individual scores where I didn't want the entire album.

The fact that you don't consider yourself a 'true' musician is just further evidence of your perfectionism.  It has served you very well!
