Can anyone point me in the right direction for info on using PicNiche, especially how to interpret the results from the 'Keyword Phrase' analyser ??

also, what is the number next to the FT, SS, etc.? I initially thought of it as the total number of downloads, but it doesn't correspond.

That's what I'm seeing (roughly), no numers next to FT,SS etc.. ??

i mean in the picNiche bar, from left to right, there is the refresh button, then that number, then FT earnings, then SS earnings, IS earnings, and so on.

I thought that might be total earnings !? Mine is a very small number ! :( but seems to be roughly the total of all the others ??

Just checked that out and it does indeed increase as u add agencies :)

I think L=country, V/F=views/photo, D/F=downloads/photo. It seems to be derived from another language, could be German.
I don't know for T and how the Rating is calculated. I think it gives a measure for how effective a keyword is or so....
Actually the guy who made this is a microstockgroup member, I think you could just PM him (and tell me then ;D)

I think L=country, V/F=views/photo, D/F=downloads/photo. It seems to be derived from another language, could be German.

That's pretty much it :)
L = Language (GB = British English, US = American English, FR = French etc :)
T = Typability (if it's a long phrase it's less 'typable')
V/F = Views per File (as it counts both vectors and photos), this is effectively the search-visibility rating
D/F = Downloads per File, this is the 'conversion' rating.
The final rating is a product of the visibility and conversion.
And yep, the number to the left (on the refresh button) on the toolbar is the total sales for all tracked sites.

Just as an aside, had problems with PicNiche yesterday and when I removed an add-on for screen splitting, I suddenly got several notifications ! I also happen to know it interferes with the iSyndica add-on too !

The descriptions popup on mouseover of the field header :) I'm a big fan of mouseovers, if there's anything in picNiche which isn't obvious, try holding your mouse over it :)

Well so they do ! Silly me for missing that :-[
The app is Split Browser 0.6.2009110501 : I wasn't using it so I disabled it, and up popped 5/6 notifications from the previous day. The iSyndica app shows total sales in the status bar (bottom right) where your P is. I got Seb at iSyndica to modify his app due to not showing the totals, then we found it only stops if PicNiche is running. He said u have used that area incorrectly !! ;) (not getting into that argument ;)

I've found the problem with picNiche and iSyndica addons interfering with each other (which one breaks depends on which loads first).
I'll say for the record that their addon needs to be namespaced (as it's probably causing problems with a lot of addons). I've made Hugo aware of this as I don't have Seb's details, and they will probably fix in the next version too.
I will however modify the picNiche toolbars in the next version to workaround the problems (should be online sometime monday/tuesday, I will post a link here soon as it is :)
Still trying to identify the problem with Split Browser, but will sort that this weekend too :)

Aye, the samples I've put up are not exhaustive, as I've only been on Veer a month or so (Yay for two years but still no sales :()
I haven't made enough sales for payout for example so can't create pollers as solid as the 'authneticated' pollers.
That's why I've opened it up to this model where anyone can create their own and share them, or if you know people at the agencies, ask them to create one :D

Excellent !! Alamy working fine and just built my own for DepositPhotos ! But where do I find info, like 'favicon' and such, on these sites ?? You'll have to do an intensive blog !? :) You've obviously got lots of spare time ! ;)

The total on the left doesn't change when u add new polls then !?
It only totals the main existing ones, which u provided !! ;)

Any way to Remove the polls from my list, if I decide not to keep and use them ??

He is right, the total amount is only counting for the main sites only.

Aye it's not including the custom pollers in the total value on the refresh button yet, as I'll have to add into the preferences the ability to select which ones you'd like to include, and then validate that they are in fact numbers :)
You can disable buttons on the toolbar by using the checkbox for the custom poller entry, or if you'd like to remove it completely: Ctrl-Shift click (Cmd-Shift on mac) on the Edit button for that poll.

I have general rules of thumb for things where there isn't room in the interface for a specific button to a function.
- Tooltips should be everywhere possible.
- Ctrl/Cmd is for extra functionality (ie: more control) The keyworder for example now limits the 'Copy to Clipboard' to only the first 50 keyword if you hold ctrl :)
- Shift is always for a change to the way that functionality works (ie: it's a shift in what it does).
- Ctrl-Shift is always destructive.
I always try and avoid using Alt as most OSes use it for something system-wide and it's position close to the space-bar makes it unnatural to reach (one of the main reasons I don't like my Macbook is because of the Cmd button placement). :)
If you need to do something, and there isn't a button for it, try mousing over other buttons. If it's still not there, let me know and I'll add it :D
