Title: Pond5 selling photos and illustration now
Post by: rene on April 07, 2011, 10:59
Did you noticed Pond is selling photos and vector? I think it's an excellent news. I like them a lot. Fair commission (50%), possibility to fix your price. And they sell more of my videos than SS+IS together.
After recant moves at IS, Fotolia and Dreamstime they are only one microstock site I wish success.

Have you heard something new?  Their website still states that you should upload your content to 123.  Unless you have 5K photos:

How Do I Sell My Images and Vectors on Pond5?
At the moment, we are simply launching the photo system with pre-curated content, and will not be accepting individual submissions for a few months, while we work out the kinks with the new interface. We want to make sure that we have the resources in place to handle submissions.

If you have a large (5k+) collection of stock images or vectors, send us an email at [email protected], with "curated collection" in the subject line. At this point we're gathering resources for partnering with larger producers, and will be moving on those over the next month or two.

We will be launching general submissions shortly thereafter, so if you have a smaller collection, go ahead and put your metadata together, so you'll be good to go when we announce it. We will be working under the same model we do for the rest of our media submissions - you'll set your own price, and make 50% every time it sells.
