When does one reach PRO status? Is it three months making a $100,- each month or just reaching $100.- in total? I have read both.

It's $100 earnings total, which most agree is a bit low. They'll only be 'inviting' new prosellers quarterly, so maybe things will happen at the end of March, if they make it April, I might just make bronze - no great shakes but at least you get a pack of free business cards.

wow, that's cool! how long did it take you to get to bronze, if you don't mind?

I've been there 14 months, so it's not enough to give up the day job (if I had one!), and I didn't really know what I was doing for the first 6 months, i.e. putting photos on products and hoping they'd sell. It takes a while to find your niche, but maybe stock photographers (I'm not one) have a head start there.

thanks for sharing. i guess being able to identify a market niche that is not fully saturated products will be a great benefit in any business.

With sales in a variety of products and subjects, I didn't find any niche yet.  Grin

your market niche could be your photographic style or if your an illustrator your art/graphic style/genre or something like that.

I don't understand the Pro level requirements as I passed the $100 mark in March 2010.

Since then nothing happened and I'm about to hit Bronze level soon.

I asked Zazzle but they just wrote back that they are working on the program for 2011 which appears not to be released yet. No answer to my question why I wasn't bumped into the Basic Pro level early last year.

So I'm just confused.

The basic Pro level requirement was different last March - then you would have had to earn a minimum of $300 over three consecutive months - $100 per month average. Since they changed the plan just before Christmas, I don't think anyone has been made proseller yet.
But who knows, the way Zazzle works is a mystery.
