Don't you love it when you find a store on Zazzle and 90% of their products are based on your stock photos?   OMG, even they've even put one of my t-shirts in their store (legitimately I guess, it's still credited to me).   Before I start reporting, do any sites allow POD without a special license that I am not aware of?

I know that Spreadshirt allows for anyone to put someone else's design or product in their store...it's one of their big features. You can even bring up a list of all your products and it shows how many stores each product can be found it. I wasn't aware that you could do it on Zazzle, though.  Are you saying that they purchase your stock image via Microstock, and then upload it onto their products? Or are they actually taking the products you've built with your images/artwork and somehow placing it in their store?

I shouldn't have mentioned that they added one of my tshirts  to their galley - I assume it is a legit thing they do to collect some referral fees.

I should have only asked about my stock photos on their products.  Is theere a non-el license out there that permits this use?

Oh what a nightmare. Hope you get it sorted. I didn't think there was any license that allowed for Print on Demand, but so much has changed. I am only on 2 sites now, so don't keep up with the others.

If they put your t-shirt in their store, when you say it's credited to you, do you mean you make money off their sales? If yes, I guess that wouldnt be so bad. If by credit you mean they say its your artwork but you get no money, I would be pi$$ed at that, too.

Fotolia and CanStockPhoto have ELs that allow POD I believe.

But the Zazzle TOS is against it I believe as you need to wholly own the content.

It gets very tricky when you don't even know who is distributing your content via a partner deal and what terms they are passing onto their buyer.  I'm just afraid the Zazzle store might somehow be doing this legally, but I'll start putting the list together to send Zazzle and see what happens.

But I don't think the agencies take the time to make pretty wordart to overlay on the photos do they?  I'm pretty sure it's an individual.

FWIW, a friend found out his photo was on Zazzle products recently. That photo was not on any micros, but on a specialty site. He filed a complaint and got instructions as to how to proceed. Eventually the photo was taken down.

Has Zazzle responded to your inquiry?

there are definitely lots of stolen designs on zazzle. Some time ago when i had a blog, i created some free downloadable vectors. I didn't sell those vectors in any stocks, just put them for free downloading (of course, with no right to resell it) in my own blog and couple other free vector sites. And later i found that at least couple of different people selling those designs on zazzle. I took a look at their portfolio and i am 100 % sure that all they are doing - just downloading images from free design blogs (there are quite lot of them now) and selling it on zazzle.
