Ok, I send error report. It looks that Dissolve upload process is to complicated. Is there anything we can do to prevent this, because in lot of cases upload stops on some particular clips.
Thanks!

Istock doesn't support editorial video.

Well, the only difference when uploading regular RF image and editorial image is one check box "Editorial use only" on the first page just below browse.
I am not programer, but on istock you can use only HTTP (not FTP for images). So if you can check that box before uploading, that will be enough. Everithing else is the same.

Is there any way to turn off 25 keywords limit on Revostock? I don't know what I have upload and what not.
Is it possible to have second keyword set or just upload 25 keywords without having duplicate files?

Is it me, or istock video upload don't work for some time now.

Any chance to handle mp4 files (even without jpg generation we can do it in thumbnail creator software).

I can't believe reading this comments. In what heartless, egoistic world we are living.
Borg, it seams that someone can feel what are you talking only if he/she lived trough the war. You experience it from Zagreb, and me from Dubrovnik. I know the feeling and what are you talking about.
In what world we are living, such a terrible and bad world. But I believe that one or two who read your post and understand what you are talking about then this is big progress.

Canon / Re: Canon 5D Mark III: Official announcement
« on: March 02, 2012, 04:15 »
As video guy not so impressed. At this moment Nikon D800 is better choice.
Very interesting is kit price Mk3 with 24-70 but just because of one lens I will not buy Mk3.
I am very dissapointed. Everything from the roumors what we expected to be in it are missing.
They didn't even put timelapse function witch you can find now in every single video camera.

I think that all of you are photographers :) Am I wrong?

For us cinematographers AVI, RAW in our industry worth at least 1500-2000$ just for that. So I hope that is true. If it is true I am buying. And if they improve any of this: mpix anti-aliasing, 4:2:0 to 4:2:2 video color sampling and rolling shutter reduced it will be revolution like MkII but we will see tomorow.

The whole "web traffic" argument seems to be thrown into doubt by the results for Thinkstock, which comes nowhere in the traffic charts but accounts for 40% of my Istock income. If TS is on a par with DT, why don't the charts show that?

www.thinkstockphotos.*=
www.thinkstockphotos.com + www.thinkstockphotos.jp + www.thinkstockphotos.de + www.thinkstockphotos.com.au + www.thinkstockphotos.fr + www.thinkstockphotos.ca + ... + custom APPlication for big marketing agencies and publishing companies

EDIT: sorry forgot www.photos.com and others

thats traffic, views etc not sales or contributor payouts :D

from an old topic IS paid to contributors in 2011 what SS paid in their all history, IS is still very far from being a loser..

You all missing point: IS is down because of thinkstock etc.

But my opinion is IS will probably pay less in 2012 to contributors and SS will pay more than 2011. As you can see on Alexa chart SS is going up. I think that IS will suffer for their actions on contributors which they have done from 2010-2011. (lot of contributors are also buyers or involved in buying process with their clients) In this business what you done today you will see results in a year or two.

In this year we will see results from last year on IS. It is possible that their sales on IS (not on Thinkstock) will go down and that means less downloads on our images and videos witch lead to lower contributor redeemed points and lower earnings for 2013. And if the trend continues trough 2012 than IS politics with redeemed points will led them really to the game over faze. But they are way to far from that.

But that is just my opinion.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: .PNG format
« on: February 22, 2012, 15:14 »
I think that we will not see PNG and VIDEO improvement soon. I transfer all my clients to other agencies and also transfering my video files form exclusivity to all other agencies. They just don't pay enough to us so my clients spending their 10 000 -15 000 $ on other agencies. I think that can cover part of PNG implementation but maybe for SS or DT. Not for IS and their 16% commission on my JPG files.

After lot of checking, testing and calculations I think I know where is the catch. After exclusivity other most important thing in weighting on Istock is regular upload. If you regularly upload on Istock and number of images can put you even in front of some exclusives.

We all now from last year that weighting on DT is all about description (longer is better)-title(google rank) and number of keywords (shorter is better). So I hope that we will find formula for IS too.

I drop exclusivity in video few days a go on istock so I will test this Istock theory on video also and if I got same results as for images I will post it here.

Edit:
I didn't say that I think that is the reason why sales going down.
