If you are using the same Adobe ID that is associated with your Fotolia account, you should be synced automatically. If not, you will need to select yes when asked if you are an existing Fotolia member. At that time you will add your Fotolia login and password.

The login information for Adobe Stock is your Adobe ID, not your Fotolia ID.
Matt, I've been grappling with this for months. I have been a FT contributor for years, and have an Adobe CC account, I'm confused by your statement above.

I attempted to use my Adobe CC credentials but there is no option "you will need to select yes when asked if you are an existing Fotolia member." No option for that either when I try to make a new Adobe Stock Contributor account. I will need it to connect to my existing FT account. How do I do that? Is that option PAST the screen where you create your new account (the one with the birthdate field)?

Thanks for your help, I have gotten zero response from FT on how to do this.

« on: May 09, 2017, 16:15 »
I do mostly illustrations, every day I get notifications on my phone app that say "Your Content Has Been Downloaded For the 1st Time" which is a good indicator, now that I can't see "sales from new content" on my dashboard anymore.

So for me new content is selling at Shutterstock. And Fotolia.

They are my #3, I get a lot of those $5 commissions on EPS files, it adds up fast.

I've gotten no relevant communications on this, not sure what to do.  If I don't "sign up" by the "deadline," are all of my images going to disappear?  What will happen?

That is not permitted by the terms of some microstock agencies, and others require an enhanced license of some sort to be allowed to produce print-on-demand items.

I know Dreamstime will allow it with an Enhanced License, although I have opted out of that because I put my own artwork up on Zazzle, I don't need someone buying an EL to compete with me with my own artwork.  Someone just requested an EL at Dreamstime, for one of my images, and I declined it because they had said they would be using it for print-on-demand.

Be sure to read the Terms of Service for each agency where you have your images, and find out how to opt out, if this is something you don't want happening.

Good luck.

I'm curious how they think they can stay in business, treating us like this.  Whoever is running the place, go back to the 1700s as a plantation owner, that's where you belong.

michaeldb are you an Aspie?  Temple Grandin is one of us :)

Regarding the topic, no, it's not okay to submit "free for commercial use" type artwork. The question is asked every few months and I am having trouble understanding why they don't understand that. It's my aspie brain, I guess.

I always use this to view all my sales... far easier than anything else.
just login to istock and use the following link:
http://www.istockphoto.com/user_stats.php?id

Right, but that does not show the outstanding balance. I have been over the "threshold" for payout for MONTHS and they have not paid me, and now I cannot even see the number. I think I'll start deleting my port, this is insane.

iStockPhoto.com / iStock Access Denied?

Today I am greeted with

Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://secure.istockphoto.com/sign-in?" on this server.

Reference #18.6c2e2017.1480713532.3b9d5892

What does that even MEAN?  Why I am locked out?  I cannot even access "contact us" or anything.

Any advice would be appreciated, i hate to give up my $110 in there when its ready to sweep to pay me.

I have phrases in my metadata and they stay intact.

I find this trend across all my microstock sites.

I think it's because Google is scraping the images and allowing people to right-click to take them -- there are other threads about this -- I don't think its just coincidence that those 2 things happened at the same time.

They are uploading fine for me (through the web form, not DeepMeta, that is seriously broken, something about iStock's API), although when they get approved, they are saying "This Image is Publishing" and are stuck in that mode. I put in a ticket about it, it's ridiculous for them to be "publishing" for the past week.

Computer Hardware / Re: Wacom cintiq anyone?
« on: September 09, 2016, 20:30 »
I have a Wacom Cintiq Companion 2, the one with the Windows operating system and i7 processor, it's like a little turbocharged tablet that has everything I could ever want. It brought my game up to a whole new level. The disconnect between the traditional drawing tablet and the monitor is pretty big, and to me, really limited what I could do in terms of intricate brush work, and now I don't have that problem!  It runs Illustrator and Lightroom and Photoshop at the same time!  I can take it anywhere, it does not need to be attached to my main computer, so I can draw in bed or out on the hiking trail (electronic plein aire, and it has a camera, you can take the scene with you!).

They are absolutely amazing, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I've had to resubmit my W-9 several times over the 12 years I've been doing this, it's routine, they need them to be up-to-date so I suppose they just send out renewal notices periodically to make sure.

The queue is very full, all those holiday shooters uploading over the long weekend, and as for me, getting the last of the summer shooting uploaded, it's starting to turn cold now.

I became convinced long ago that stock market prices are divorced from reality, especially now with the computerized high-speed trading... it's about the traders, has nothing to do with Shutterstock or its intrinsic value. Not anymore.

My graph is also at zero, flat-lined, when I can see from my earnings page that I am selling brand new stuff, so I say the graph is malfunctioning, especially seeing that everyone else's graph has flat-lined as well, seems pretty clear to me.  I wouldn't panic about sales of new stuff going to zero, based on that graph.

Just make the contact information LOOK generic like "lorem ipsum," the reviewers will glance at that and know there is no real information there.  If you make them look real in any way, the reviewers have to think it could be real.

No. So I'd say, not worth it.

Except in footage that requires alpha channels, those would need to be in PNG format.

For me it shows a massive drop-off in sales over the past 2 months, massive. How insanely discouraging since this is happening across all sites. Except Shutterstock, it's holding steady for me.
