You have to sign few documents to request a payment but "It is highly unlikely payment will be distributed".
I forgot about checking my account since June 2019 and have $100.50 in there. What a ripoff.

Whilst a good idea sadly getting stock contributors to do anything as a collective group is like herding cats
It is difficult to organize any group of individuals for united action. The difference between those who are successful and those who are not is those who never give up trying.

I made some decent royalties there. I think I had requested payout last month. This stinks. I did like the site.

I got about 40 and turned a few on. Then I thought this was time consuming and odd. So I looked on the MSG forum. Seems I'm not alone and this is a bad joke, a bug or scam. I'll delete those messages. I have no time to mess with it anyway.

Yeah, 2015 and 2016 were my best years on 123RF. End of 2017 was half the normal amount. I assume it was because my submissions are down.

Big hustle. Big scam. I'm still using Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS3 on OSX 10.6.8.

same for me ESP can't extract IPTC metadata. (testing XMP/IPTC metadata with CS Bridge and Exiftool nothing) so i enter it manually
but they say
Embed metadata via IPTC (optional). ESP supports IPTC metadata so will extract any related fields Title/Description/Date Created/Creator/City/Country/Keywords. https://contributors.gettyimages.com/article.aspx?article_id=5248
Ugh. iStock really seems out of touch. The gap is widening with this latest drama.

I uploaded the EPS and JPG versions of my illustrations. It's asking me to enter Title, Description and Keywords. This system does not extract the information (like other stock sites)? Must I enter it manually (or copy and paste from the original files)? I cannot use DeepMeta because my operating system is no longer compatible with it.

Unless you're experienced with stock picking, stick with mutual funds. Buying one company is a quick way to lose alot of money. You might be better off making art to sell on microstock if you want to get rich.

Do you think is $1,000 fair price for selling all rights to buyer?
DT will take 50%, so price accordingly!

I don't get why people are still contributing to microstock at all at the moment. The only thing which is growing is the total number of images. And that means, inevitably, that the prices are only going down. Ever closer to zero. The size of the market was vastly over-estimated. That boom era is never coming back. Is everyone just hoping that everyone else will give up first? Otherwise it seems like a rather costly hobby.
And if you are really into pictures as a hobby then why not give up taking pictures which you think might sell and start taking pictures you like or which interest you instead? That's the thing about the best of the stuff in the non-microstock and more bespoke collections like Stocksy - that, at best, the pictures seem much more real. They seem like pictures made by people who love pictures.
Some of us are desperate for the income. We are very creative and are in saturated creative markets. Times are rough and the global economy is good for many, but not for all. Sadly I am in that boat.

Well, Shutterstock did something. They deleted a thread about spammers on their forums....but left the spam images up. You can spam, but you can't talk about spam.
Big giant company that is on its way down. I'm surprised how Fotolia sales are eclipsing SS for me.

DepositPhotos promoting "New Flexible Plan". May be that is not news. But I've just noticed. Monthly plan 10$ for 10 images and you can buy additional images for 1$ and unused downloads transfer month to month Sound familiar?
Grumble, it looks like it worked. I see higher prices. Anyone else see a change?

Adobe's cloud is a big scamespecially for loyal customers like myself. Glad the stock sales are improving as it doesn't make me hate them so much. But I still won't rent their clouds.

Four minute average review time now for me. I do not think the reviewers are rejecting only on technical and what looks "normal" to them. Hence, when I submitted an isolated hat made in a style that hasn't been en vogue for 200+ years, they rejected it. But when I submitted a version with the hat on top of a human head a minute later, they accepted it. Obviously the reviewer had no idea it was a hat and didn't bother to read the description.

If you don't try, you will never know. I earn enough for monthly payouts, so I keep going. However, I do feel they think we are like feudal era serfs. Hi I started uploading my pics to Istock and then saw quite a lot of people were leaving and complaining about them.
I don't quite understand what the problem is with them - and before I upload more would like to get a bit more info.
I've had my images on SS and FT for ages and don't really have major probs with them.
It would be great to have IS as another income source but I'm a bit reticient about uploading without being more sure about image rights and pay, etc
Thanks

Through deepmeta, I'm getting "invalid response from istock: empty (invalid username/password).
Is that the same error you're getting?

I was very disappointed to find that only 1,785 images showed up when I searched the keyword "Marijuana"
