re Novel Use - I'm opted out, mainly for two reasons:
- none of my images on Alamy are available on micros, not even similars/sisters - and it seems unwise to have image just on macro, but available at Novel pricing
- most of my Alamy images are RM, and don't feel it's worth Novel price to possibly make them less desirable for client who needs image with tight usage history (not remotely wording that in correct legal terms)

Too funny! How dare they throw that camera equipment around like that! I did see some pieces flying, but I am amazed that they mostly stayed in one piece, like the video camera towards the end. Nothing visibly broke! (Maybe the lens is history, though) They seemed to just bounce.
Hi Cathy, yes it looks like a little bit faked, but i don't want to try it out with my Nikon D3X and my 2.8/70-200mm

Hi Christos, your name sounds greek, (i don't know, how to write it correctly with a german keyboard) so ya su fi le, ti kanis
Be careful with public domain. It depends in which country you want to publish the work. Ansel Adams work is public domain in USA, but in germany really not.
Have a nice Day Ralf

Hi Christos, Creglinger is the proper name of this altar. The name of the town is Creglingen. So you can write "Creglinger Altar". Wood carving means "Holzschnitzerei" or "Holzschnitzarbeit". You can search in wikipedia in english and then switch to the german language. For translation from english in german and vice versa " www.dict.cc" is useful.

I am 50 and play sports like I think I am still in my 20's. That's why I am always hurt : ) Torn LCL at the moment and a broken elbow that has needed surgery for 8 months. Doctor calls it boomeritis. Boomers that still think they are youthful, says it's time to hang up my cleats. NEVER!

I think the idea they had was good and if it is implemented properly it should help buyers and that will keep contributors happy.

Some images sell, some don't.
In microstock the sites have generally no idea what an "editorial" image is, that's why they like images from current events and/or celebrities while they seem to reject most of (for example) unreleased travel shots, products with trademarked designs/logos etc. even if they would fit "editorial" category perfect.
I have some editorial images that sell well at SS, but I don't think they would accept them anymore if I uploaded them today.
I upload most of my editorial stuff to Alamy, especially the most niche images that would be downloaded at best a couple of times on a microstock site.

It depends on your portfolio. For one is agency A a low earner for the other is agency A a top tier. Everybody should make one experiences and should then decide, which way to go. I've tried a lot of the whole range (top- and middle tier and also the low earners). Now i'm uploading more and more to macrostock-agencies.

I hate to just redirect you, but these are very specific questions that should be directed toward the customer service department of the site where you are buying the images.
