It's working now.

Yeah....that's what I am getting now too.  This morning it accepted my login but only gave me last year's form.  But this afternoon it started giving me the same "Please retry" error that you are getting.  Hopefully Matt Hayward will see these posts and help us out.

Adobe Stock / 1099 Form
« on: February 01, 2023, 09:16 »
Is anyone else having trouble downloading their 1099 MISC form for 2022 through the Adobe link (https://236230.invoiceinfo.com/get1099.html)?  I can only bring up last years.  This year's doesn't seem to be available yet and they should all be there by 2/1 every year.

Works just fine, now.  Thanks for the quick attention to this, Matt.

I opted in for electronic 1099s in early January.  It said they would be available after 1/31 but I can't see anyway to obtain them using the link https://236230.invoiceinfo.com/get1099.html.  It just keep opting me in, but I'm not able to view my 1099.  Have anyone been able to retrieve their 1099 electronically?

Has any who submitted a payment request after 10/17 received their payment yet?  Mine has been pending since 10/19.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: Customon.com
« on: June 25, 2020, 08:08 »
UPDATE:  STAY AWAY FROM CUSTOMON.COM!

I had uploaded a few designs a month ago and had a few questions.  I tried emailing them at several addresses, then tried getting their attention on Facebook.  I could not get them to ever reply to any of my inquiries.  I finally just asked them to instruct me on how to go about deleting my account since there was no option to do this online.  Now they have deactivated my login but are still selling my designs on their site.  I cannot access my designs to delete them.  They are breaking the law.  This is a scam operation.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock just became iStock 2.0
« on: June 12, 2020, 12:32 »
I had seen a link to a counter tool that was updating the total image count at Shutterstock during this movement, but I can't find it again.  Is anyone tracking the changes to their overall image count?  I've been doing it sporadically for about a week and it's only decreased by a little over a million so far (out of 324 million).

Print on Demand Forum / Red Bubble Technical Support
« on: August 02, 2019, 12:31 »
Does anyone here have any experience with technical support from Red Bubble?  They don't offer phone support, and I've been unable to get a technical issue resolved or responded to for several weeks now.  Their Live Chat doesn't offer support from the "Artist Success Team", and their Facebook and Twitter pages won't respond to Artist questions, so the only avenue is to fill out their submission form.  I've done that 4 times now with no luck.  Each time they say they'll "escalate" the issue, but then I don't hear back.  Until my issue is resolved, I'm unable to upload new artwork to their site.  Very frustrating.  If anyone has had any luck getting them to respond, please send along the feedback.  Thanks.

Print on Demand Forum / Sales have crashed on Spreadshirt
« on: November 16, 2018, 14:46 »
I've been with Spreadshirt for over 5 years now and I've always liked their user interface and their business model.  However, with the arrival of the new algorithm and "improved" search this year, my sales year over year are down 50%.  I've read from their forum moderators that the changes are for the good of everyone, but some people might find decreased traffic to their products.  I guess I am one of those people.  I am wondering what other user's experiences are.  Have some of you seen increased sales at Spreadshirt, or mostly decreased sales like me?  Just curious.

Adobe Stock / Sales on Adobe vs. Fotolia
« on: February 21, 2018, 09:55 »
Is there anyway to see on the Sales page if the sale occurred on Adobe Stock or Fotolia?  I've tried to find detail on both sites and can't seem to find that information.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Any luck downloading tax forms?
« on: February 05, 2018, 14:47 »
Yes.  The downloads are now working, and they are combining the BigStock and Shutterstock royalties into just one 1099 MISC form, available on the Shutterstock site.  The BigStock site simply refers you to the Shutterstock site to get your form.

Sorry about the confusion.  My post was regarding the 1099 Misc forms.  Instead of mailing them out, they allow us to go into the Tax Center page on their website and download and print the forms ourselves, (https://submit.shutterstock.com/legal/taxes/external/download) but it doesn't seem to be working.  I was wondering if it worked for anyone else.

Shutterstock.com / Any luck downloading tax forms?
« on: January 26, 2018, 10:36 »
Has anyone been able to download their 2017 tax forms from Shutterstock site?  The Tax Center page says that the 2017 tax forms are available for download now, but when I follow the instructions, I'm still unable to download any forms.  Has anyone successfully downloaded theirs?  I have emailed them but have not gotten any answers.

123RF / Re: Total Earnings
« on: October 03, 2016, 13:46 »
The Grand Total on the earnings page is incorrect and does not include August.  However, if you go to the Contributors Dashboard, the earnings box is accurate.  Must just be a bug.

I guess this would be called an ethics question.  I understand that we all polish our images to remove imperfections, correct lighting, etc.  And at times we can actually replace an element of an image, such as replacing a cloudy sky with a sunny one.  But where is the line drawn?

I have recently come across a large portfolio of images from a resort town that I have frequently traveled to.  I prefer not to mention the artist or post a link to the images as this point.  What I have noticed is that the images are clearly not authentic photographs of the area, but are composites.  For example, in one image of a beach with a marina in the background, the marina is the actual marina in this town, but the water and beach have been clearly replaced by a beach from a tropical area, such as the Caribbean.  From my experience in this resort town, I can say with certainty that the beach and water have been replaced in the image with a different resort's water, beach and sand. The water in this particular town is dark green and rather murky.  And the sand is very rocky, not fine at all.

If an image is described as a particular place in the description and keywords, and then half the image is replaced with elements that do not exist in that place, is that image misrepresenting that location?  My first reaction is that the image would be fine if it was submitted as a generic place, using non-specific keywords and did not claim to be a specific geographic location (ex: Keywords beach and ocean, but not Honolulu or Hawaii).

I would be interested in hearing other stock contributor's thoughts.

DepositPhotos / Search Engine Not Working!!
« on: September 22, 2016, 12:09 »
The Search Engine at Deposit Photos was working incorrectly yesterday.  Their Technical Customer Service department confirmed the problem and it seemed to be working correctly today.  HOWEVER.... when I attempt to locate my own images by putting in the accurate keywords, I'm unable to bring up any of my images (over 1,000 in my portfolio).  They are aware of my problem and said they would look into it, but in the meantime I won't see any sales because no buyers will be able to see my images.  You may want to test your own images and see if you are encountering the same problem.

Image Sleuth / Amazon Third Party Infringement Claim
« on: May 12, 2016, 11:58 »
Does anyone have experience with filing an infringement claim with Amazon against one of their third party sellers? I submitted one yesterday and I'm wondering how long the process takes.

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia search not returning my images
« on: April 19, 2016, 16:23 »
According to Matt at Fotolia on 6/11/15:

"Remember that the search places priority on the first 7 keywords submitted so be sure to place the most relevant keywords at the top of the list".

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia - Keyword Ordering on Upload
« on: March 04, 2016, 10:20 »
After reading Matt Hayward's post from June 11, 2015 where he reminded contributors that the first 7 keywords get priority placement, I went back and re-ordered all my keywords on Fotolia.  I had never had very good sales there, but with the addition of Adobe Stock, I though it would be worth the effort.  I noticed an immediate increase in sales and it hasn't stopped yet.  Very much worth the extra work in my opinion.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: What Happened to Zazzle in July!
« on: August 17, 2015, 16:16 »
Don't forget that they changed their SEO for the marketplace this year.  Any products that go 6 months without a view or sale no longer show up in a search in their marketplace.  That may account for a decline in sales if, like me, the majority of your sales come from the marketplace.

I had just used that a few weeks ago and you are right, now it is gone.  It was under the My Account area in the Main Menus page.  I sent them a support request asking if it's no longer available.

Not sure if this has already been brought up, but now all users have the ability to click on the "Switch to Classic View" button at the bottom of each image page which brings the user to the original page format showing the image with all of our original descriptions and links.
