General Stock Discussion / Re: Copyright Infringement by "Claus40"

I had to jump through hoops to get that image removed!
It took 5 emails, DMCA notice, links to all the agencies where I sell the image and originals images for them to take it down. I also sent them a link to here and said she had other stolen images in her port as well.

Yes a LOT of stolen work in that portfolio.

It has been posted on the SS forum and I posted this to my FB page also...hopefully more people will see their images there. :(

I hope this hasn't been before but I was alerted by Barry this afternoon to check this guy's port out.
Just putting this out there in case anyone sees their images there!

I'm chiming in late, been busy lately and hadn't notice the big change in the preview size...OMG! Why did the have to change this, it was fine before. OK, maybe make it a little larger but not humongous...it's insanely large! The watermark for this size is useless.
WTH are they thinking! :(
Here is a preview one of mine:

Sandralise - it seems that your first feedback was for Pete Sherrard, not for me  ;D  He has book covers in his portfolio.

Cobalt: yes, it would be great to meet finally  :)

Yes, second post was for you! :)

I would like to ask for feedback from Stocksy contributors too. I'm selling my images on microstock sites but few months ago Stocksy caught my attention, I love their style and images and I would like to become a contributor. I sent them my portfolio already but they aren't interested in my stock images currently so I would like to show them different images next time. I prepared new portfolio, these images are more what I like personally, they aren't from microstock site. I would love to ask photographers which sent their portfolio to Stocksy in last weeks and were accepted if my images are suitable for them or not. If not, what shall I change? I will be very thankful for your recommendation and feedback.

Magdalena, your work is beautiful and wish you the best of luck where ever you place your work!
Great port :)

Love your work and I think they made a mistake rejecting you. The one reason I see could be the grain in your images but other than that really fine work!
BTW, love your book cover work! :)

Sandra you need to check your submissions at Stocksy, they are suppose to be exclusive, you have them at DT as well :)

Thank you Luis for noticing and being so vigilant!! :)

I've never found a way into Getty but I've just been accepted at OFFSET. 30% of something is better to me than 40% held out of reach...

Well said, Lee! :)
You said you were asked to contribute though.

Yes I wasand I declined...so? ???
Fair enough, you're allowed to chose the lower royalty rate at Offset over Getty.  I was just trying to understand that better but what about choosing Offset over Stocksy, they should be fighting for the same customers shouldn't they?  Seems to me that Stocksy should raise their prices 100% or more.

Simple, different shoots and themes for different agencies...I'm doing that already so it won't be much of a change for me :)

Well, just applied today and guess I'll see what happens! :)
I like both sites(Stocksy and Offset)...very different in style but that's good.
So Shutterstock Offset is trying to compete with Getty RM right?  Why not license your work through Getty, wouldn't you get a higher royalty rate for your work there?
I was ask to join Getty but declined. I dislike what they did to IStock  and hate them with a passion!
They are many other agencies to place your exclusive or RM images in besides Getty! :)
So you are saying you would rather get a lower royalty rate from Offset than a higher royalty rate from Getty (25% higher at Getty for creative RM)?  Just to be clear.  I'm comparing Offset to Getty RM because that is what they've said is where they want to compete.

I don't like Getty and really don't want to be with them. :)
As for exclusive or RM with Offset don't really know what they want as was said earlier in this thread...I guess I will find out if I'm approved.  ;)

It's very weird but for some reason I can't put my links to Shutterstock or Depositphotos. It won't take and keep my username but does for all the others.
What am I doing wrong.  :(

Just checking - both those require your user ID number not username. Made that mistake myself with SS link some time ago! Regards, David.

That did the trick...thank you David! :)

I kind of agree with you.  With 200 or so images and one or 2 visits a day this is one of those sites you don't want to check every day . . . . .  I'll drop in once a month and wait to be surprised.

they send you an email if you have a sale ;)

It's always so nice to receive that e-mail!  :)
