General Stock Discussion / Mystery Payment
« on: March 29, 2023, 14:32 »
I had a payment of over $60 show up on my Adobe Stock contributor account and was no sale recorded for it in the Activity section. Has anyone else had this happen or does anyone know what this could be for? Are there sales that dont show up in the Activity logue?

Can anyone point in the right direction to find out about becoming an Adobe Stock image reviewer? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hi Matt. I have a question about completing the nomination process. I have nominated selected images on my dashboard and I am using Firefox at 100%. However I am not seeing a contributor agreement that has been mentioned elsewhere as completion to the nomination process.. Is there something that i need to do to prompt this agreement? Thanks Matt.

How can you loose a photo, if you bookmark direct link to that file?

Yup. My portfolio went down too. This is becoming comical. But it's not that funny is it.

General Stock Discussion / Bigstock Question
« on: August 22, 2016, 18:08 »
I'm wanting to upload illustrations on Bigstock with the required "reference image". I am able to upload the reference image through the "release uploads" without a problem. But I dont see how to link the reference image to the original illustration image that I would like to submit. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am a new contributor to GL and would like to upload via FTP. I do not not see the FTP Login and password in the uploads section where the Help info says it will be. Any direction on this would be appreciated.

they are so worried about being sued they forgot to feed the hamster (the one that powers the abacus)

I wondered how they did things at istock. The hamster powered abacus explains everything.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock earnings in July....
« on: August 01, 2016, 16:01 »
My July earnings are mostly flat with a smaller modest portfolio. One question I have genuinely been wondering about. Since so many contributors are seeing such a drastic reduction in sales and earnings why is the MSG SS contributor earnings graph line showing a fairly significant spike in earnings for July.

Could it be more newbies reporting sales since SS has dropped their entrance requirements? Or is it that some contributors are doing much better while some are doing worse due to changing search algorithms? Or some other entirely different reason?

General Stock Discussion / Istock Offline Sale?
« on: July 26, 2016, 21:12 »

I just received this email from Istock. Dear Contributor,

The following file(s) were recently licensed to an iStock customer in a transaction that did not occur through the website:

74740789
79379411

We have made an adjustment to your account and added your royalty from the license(s), which totals $1.44.

Sincerely,
The iStock Team

Does anyone know what this is about or why this even happens. I don't have any idea what image sold or what type of licensing it sold under. Should Istock not provide some record of the transaction?

Sales this month are disasterous for me.
Are your Fotolia views up DUMC ?

No payment here either. Read this in the 123RF FAQ. " Payments should reach you by the 17th of the month for all forms of payment." Hopefully tomorrow.

Maybe they added the views from Adobe.
Even though sales have totally dried this month (I was very happy with Fotolia sales until May) I figure that at least views are useful to understand which of my clip have commercial potential. But I might be wrong

Adobe stock views were included in view statistics from the beginning. I had asked Fotolia about Adobe Stock views months ago before the recent spike in views and they said Adobe views were included in the statistics. Either way it's curious more then anything and sales are still down mostly due to U.S. buyers which I'm assuming is from the DC closing.

My views continue to increase while my sales stand still. It doesn't appear to be a temporary thing. It started shortly after Dollar Club closed.

Newbie Discussion / Shutterstock Portfolio Posting
« on: June 14, 2016, 13:03 »
Hello every one. I'm fairly new to using this site and was wondering if someone could tell me how to post my SS portfolio link on at the bottom of my "reply" window as many members have done on MSG. Thank you.

I wonder if the increase in Fotolia views is due to Dollar Club closing and those newly converted ex DC members are being much more careful with how they spend their money because they are using the more expensive image paks. I do notice that RPI has increased as volume has gone down.

Has anyone else else had a huge increase in Fotolia views while their sales have decreased?

Hmmm yes. I just checked my Fotolia U.S. sales for the last 5 days. Zeros for all 5 days. That's never happened before. It rarely happens for even one day. Something seems off.

If it makes you feel any better my sales have dropped off by 80% or so in the last 5 days. I think sometimes there is no particular reason. As hot as last week was this week is balancing things out to the downside. Way down on Fotolia this week.

I have a small port at FT but sales are still moving upward through February.

Adobe Stock / Re: Image daily views Huge boost?!
« on: January 22, 2016, 12:45 »
Yes. Same here. Maybe its a promotional thing where first time buyers are looking around to see whats available.

Im fairly new to this with only 150 files at Fotolia, and I too have found several of my files on this site with no extended licenses purchased from Fotolia.

One of my files that I found on Vimago has not even sold on Fotolia. How is that possible?
